OVERVIEW
Honeyville Grain processes cereal grains for the food industry and
contracted with Halverson Company to design and build their new
processing plant. This new addition more than doubled the capacity of the
existing facility.
The project included design and construction of a new grain receiving
system including installation of a new receiving pit, drag conveyor and
bucket elevator. New storage bins were included for the raw grain and clean
grain. The project also included an enclosed structure to house the new
cleaning line. Finally, Halverson installed a new mixing-batching system, a
grinding-hammermill system, and a state of the art flaking system.
Halverson also provided all of the electrical work and installation of the new
automated control system.
