some of the local cuisine in one
of the many restaurants on the
island. All self-catering apartments
feature well equipped kitchens
with the necessary appliances,
cutlery, crockery and are serviced
daily.

by car
Thompsons Mauritius offers a range of vehicle sizes to suit a variety
of budgets and space requirements, additionally specialised vehicles
such as convertibles, prestige models, hybrid/electric vehicles or SUVs
and passenger vans. Car rentals are subject to certain conditions.
The age for the vehicle driver is 21 yrs old with a valid current driver's
license. A credit card is required to charge additional fees such as
speeding fines, not returning the car with a full tank of petrol, any
defects found on the car on its return. In lieu of a credit card, a deposit
would be required. Thompsons Mauritius also provides a minimal
liability coverage and /or damage waivers as an optional extra at an
additional cost to cover a third party and /or personal in the event of
an accident. Other insurances are also available. Your car hire can be
pre-booked prior to your departure from South Africa.
Vip Welcome Transfers
On arrival in Mauritius, the friendly Thompsons team will meet you with
a cold face towel and a bottle of water. Unless a private transfer has
been booked, you will receive seat-coach transfers with a maximum of
2 hotel stops.
Excursions
Thompsons Mauritius will assist you with booking excursions and any
other assistance you may require during your stay. A 24/7 emergency
telephone number is also available.

CURRENCY: The local currency is the Mauritian Rupee. US Dollars and Euros are widely accepted in all resorts.
