Take your time to enjoy this dream opportunity and explore natural sites of outstanding beauty and interest such as Morlaix Bay, the Pink Granite Coast, Jaudy and Léguer Valleys, as well as ports, seaside resorts and characterful towns including Roscoff, Morlaix, Lannion, Tréguier, Paimpol, Saint-Quay-Portrieux, Binic, Saint-Brieuc and more besides. There are a wide variety of viewpoints along narrow roads and dedicated trails. The Breton spirit can be seen in each of these contrasts. The route alternates between stages on quiet roads and greenways. There are some marked climbs. This difficulty may restrict the accessibility of the route somewhat, but the development of the electric bike – already available, particularly for groups – makes this outstanding route accessible to as broad a clientele as possible. Featuring nature, coastlines, heritage, culture, gastronomy, authenticity and peace and quiet, the route combines all the ingredients for a thoroughly exceptional cycling holiday! For more information about the entire Tour de Manche route, visit www.tourdemanche.com Tide times: www.maree.info SOME MAJOR EVENTS APRIL HIGHLIGHTS The Pink Granite Coast Intriguingly-shaped, imposing pink granite rocks, carved out by the wind and sea. As you wind along the lanes and tracks, you’ll be greeted by sea views and Morlaix Bay. This stage is intermediate level but without any real difficulties – and a great way to begin your trip. There’s a very good market every Tuesday on Place de l’Evêché, Place de Guébriant and Place du Parvis. This is a great opportunity to buy some local fare for a picnic with a regional touch, in the Chant de la Rive gardens or on the seafront. STAGING POINT: MORLAIX Take the time to stroll down the alleyways running between stone staircases and houses in Pondalez, visit the Italian baroque theatre, pass beneath the arches of the imposing viaduct to reach the port in the town centre and explore the river, which flows out into a magnificent bay studded with islets.
