Prominent Italian-Canadians inspire youth
A seminar to inspire and mentor Italian-Canadian youth aged
18-24 attracted more than 150 people at Columbus Centre
in Toronto recently. Inspire 2011 featured several prominent
Italian-Canadian professionals who spoke at the event, including Hollywood actor Enrico Colantoni, Liberty Group CEO Nick
DiDonato, Wind Mobile CEO Anthony Lacavera, Juno Award
winning singer-songwriter Ivana Santilli and host of ET Canada
Rick Campanelli. The event was co-hosted by Campanelli and
Inspire 2011 committee chair Luciano Volpe.
Each speaker shared their experiences on how they achieved
their success – and how growing up Italian-Canadian became
an important part of their professional identity. The format was
an open forum where audience members were encouraged to
ask questions of the speakers for 15-20 minutes. W
