energy is powerful when shared
85.000 people. sharing a stunning moment, singing
passionately, jumping as high as they can reach. it is the tune
of the crowd what makes a festival magical: being part of an
organism with a unique power. a group of people that makes
the difference because each of them is engaged with the same
goal. that is what sustainability is about. the project aims to
translate this power into usable energy that is produced by
the crowd and to the crowd.
this is not only a place for people to meet, but a meeting point
of all the energy spread around the Øyafestivalen.
every small action is
essential to create a
big impact.
there is a cycle that goes from the kinetic energy of the crowd
to the electrical energy of the meeting point. this is possible
because the meeting point is directly connected to little
modules of a pizioeletric floor spread around the festival that
captures the energy of the people. this energy is stored and will
be further used to support different activities like projections,
wireless connection, phone charging and lighting.

the iconic wood triangule engages people. it creates
a screen that projects messages, videos or photos
sent by the participants. it also shows continually
how charged the system is stimulating the crowd
to produce more energy. even the musicians can
encourage people to jump and dance more. to see
their own message reflected on the meeting point,
makes everyone feel like energy was worthed. with
a simple structure, is possible to create the idea that
together we can make a true impact.
