Pickin' Porch July 14, 2011
Tim White hosted the Pickin Porch tonight. He and Teddy Helton
along with Murphy White warmed up the good crowd with a few
tunes featuring Murph's singing. The crowd also coaxed Teddy into
singing "Leftover Biscuits".
The all girl band "Loose Strings" from
Galax. Virginia entertained the Pickin
Porch crowd with their fine harmonies
and pickin. They started their
performance off with the "Star Spangled
Banner". Excellent musicians!
Gold Heart spent all day in the Birthplace
of Country Music Region on July 14th.
They appeared on WJHL TV11, WCYB
TV5 and did an interview to be aired this
weekend on the Tim White Bluegrass
Show. This fine band will also appear on
Saturday, July 16th at the Lincoln Theatre
in Marion, Virginia to tape an episode of
"Song of the Mountains" which will
eventually be broadcast across America
