May announcements:
We announced our New Piper and Irish Whistle instructor at our Irish
Music Weekend a few weeks ago! Eamonn Dillon from Ireland, now
a Nashvillian, is teaching part time (as he is in demand in the Irish
music business). We already have two Ullieanne pipe students for him
and We have had a few requests for an Irish whistle class for Kids
and/or Adults this spring into summer. We also have some
affordable Irish whistles at the center.
***If you are interested in an Irish whistle class with Eamonn, please
text Gretchen 615-812-2192 your interest ASAP. We are thinking of a
Tues afternoon, or very early evening, a 6 or 8 week series.

April Reflections: Irish Music Weekend Go “IMW”!
The Irish Instructor Concert and then two days of Irish music intensive workshops,
history, mini concerts and sessions was an action packed special time for the
participants. The surveys are coming back with great praises on the staff and the layout
of the whole event; also some great suggestions. We hope to keep this event going every
year, as it is so special. We had folks in from at least 11 states including Hawaii &
Alaska!! Thanks everyone for the encouragements for “earlybird sign ups” next year, as
let it be known that the budget IS THE sign ups! Special thanks to Suzi and Ben for not
only offering healthy afforadable meals but also for their imprompto “Silent Auction” to
help with costs to put on this event. Several comments saying that the sessions 3 nights
in a row were the most fun they ever had playing Irish music. Great praises on the Irish
“Starter Tunes” session as well and for those that are close by we are having some
follow up Irish starter tunes sessions, one is coming up on Sat May 2! Closing I want to
mention that we are so lucky to have the staff of instructors. We have been getting e
mails from Ireland about this event in Pegram! Soon we will be playing a DVD at the
MHC about the Sligo Masters that Rose loaned the MHC. Movie night TBA. Thanks all!

JULY 4th VIP (very important public; YOU! ) SEATING IN FRONT OF FIDDLE &
PICK FOR PARADE & FIREWORKS SHOW!
We will be entering a Float in the morning parade with Pickin' Kids on it. I would
like to know how many kids are interested in being on the float. We might win a trophy!
Also then come early to claim your fireworks seats and bring a dish. The rowdy room
will be crock pot central at dinner time. You won't have to worry about parking because
you will get here before the crowds. IF the fire works get rained out, we still can have a
potluck party and we will have sparklers and fountains for the kids.
There is a full day of family activities at the Park in between the am parade and the pm
fireworks. Some folks take a nap between the two events ;-)
