Day 1 Meet near the Toronto Airport early evening for a welcome briefing
with your hike leader and other group members. From there we’ll
drive to world famous Niagara Falls and check in to your hotel; every room overlooking the falls. Explore the city at your leisure then
meet for cocktails and spectacular fireworks over the falls. Overnight Niagara Falls (two nights).
Day 2 After breakfast we’ll be hiking past picturesque DeCew Falls and
through the Carolinian Forests of Short Hills Provincial Park, home to
white tailed deer, brush wolves, red fox, chipmunks, and meadow
voles. We’ll stop at a family-run Canadian maple farm for a hearty
lunch and maple-tasting. Return to your hotel in the afternoon or
continue your hiking adventure along the Niagara River gorge past
the whirlpool and through the Niagara Glen.
Day 3 Today we’ll be hiking past the expansive vineyards of Ontario’s wine
country along the Bruce Trail and past Ball’s Falls, experiencing natural beauty and wildlife at its best. Enjoy a lunch of local foods prepared
by an international chef at one of the country’s most famous wineries
with views of rolling vineyards, the forests of the Niagara Escarpment
and Lake Ontario and Toronto in the distance. Return to Toronto in
the early evening.

Dyer’s Bay
BRUCE PENINSULA
A guided hiking adventure
Itinerary
Day 1 Meet near the Toronto Airport early afternoon for a welcome briefing
with your hike leader and other group members. From there we’ll drive
up to Tobermory in the Bruce Peninsula. Gather for cocktails with
your new hiking friends before dinner. Overnight in Tobermory (three
nights).
Day 2 This morning we hike in Dyer’s Bay along the top of the Niagara
Escarpment with spectacular rock formations. The white cliffs and
green vegetation contrast with the deep blue waters of Georgian Bay.
We return to Tobermory for lunch followed by an optional afternoon
hike to Dunks Point and the Fathom Five National Marine Park.

Day 3 Today we’re in the Bruce Peninsula National Park, a globally
significant part of the Bruce Trail’s UNESCO World Biosphere
designation. Experience the massive, rugged cliffs of the park,
inhabited by thousand year old cedar trees overhanging the crystal clear
waters of Georgian Bay.
Levels:
Short: 3-6km / Long: 10-14km
Terrain is rugged, rocky and hilly.
Day 4 After breakfast we’ll hike through Lion’s Head Provincial Nature
Reserve. The trail follows close to the water’s edge most of the way
with spectacular lookouts over Georgian Bay and the rocky beaches
below. We pass several ancient glacial potholes formed by the circular
erosion of the rock. Return to Toronto by early evening.

Day 1 Meet near the Toronto Airport in early afternoon for a welcome briefing
with your hike leader and other group members. Drive to Algonquin
Provincial Park for five nights to discover your inner peace outdoors.
Time to reconnect. To sit back and listen to your heart. To see and be
inspired by nature. Time for that great book. Time to hike past beaver
ponds. Amazing people, amazing food, warm fires. Cocktails on the
dock and a group welcome dinner.
Day 2 After a hearty breakfast, today’s hike takes us through one of the best
moose sighting areas in the park, past a turtle pond and around several
lakes that are habitat for otters, bears, beavers, great blue herons, marten
and fishers. 11 kilometres with a picnic lunch on the trail. Dinner on
own.
Day 3 After breakfast we’ll be hiking along two high, parallel ridge systems
that feature some of the Park’s most outstanding scenery. This is a
challenging hike that visits five separate cliffs and involves much
climbing. 10-kilometre hike with a total ascent of 360 metres (1,200
feet). After hiking, explore the Algonquin Park Visitor Centre with
world class exhibits on the Park’s natural and human history, an
excellent bookstore and a restaurant. Group dinner.
Day 4 Have a relaxing breakfast before we head out on a trail through some
outstanding examples of Algonquin Park scenery and history. Return
to Arowhon Pines for lunch and an optional 2-kilometre afternoon hike
to the Medicine Tree. Dinner on own.
Day 5 Hike along the shores of Little Joe Lake, along a picturesque creek to
the historic stone chimneys of Camp Minnesing, an abandoned
wilderness resort where we’ll stop for a picnic lunch. Join in the evening
for a group farewell dinner.
Day 6 After breakfast we drive back to Toronto and arrive early afternoon.

Beaver Valley
BRUCE TRAIL - BEST OF THE BRUCE
A guided hiking adventure
Itinerary
Day 1 We’ll drive up to Hockley Valley to start our hiking adventure through
woodlands, open meadows, crests along the Niagara Escarpment,
across the Nottawasaga River and through the river valleys.
Day 2 After breakfast we spend the day in the Petun Conservation Area and
the Pretty River Valley Park. Overnight at a reindeer and horse
farm in Nottawa.
Day 3 Today, we’ll hike in the Beaver Valley. We’ll pass Eugenia Falls, a 30
metre sheet of water cascading down into the river below. The
peaceful forests give the area a flavour of untouched wilderness.
Day 4 After breakfast drive to the Bognor Marsh, a unique area along the
Bruce Trail.
Day 5 Today, hike through the Kemble Mountain Management Area
through diverse ecosystems; upland hardwood forest and silver maple
swamp. Old logging roads wind through the forest to the cliff edge for
an impressive view over Georgian Bay and farmlands.
Day 6 After breakfast, we’ll drive north to Hope Bay. The trail winds around
swamps, over cliff tops with unparalleled views and passes ancient
glacial potholes.
Day 7 Explore the Lion’s Head Provincial Nature Reserve. The trail
follows close to the water’s edge most of the way with spectacular
lookouts over Georgian Bay and the rocky beaches below.
Day 8 A final breakfast then return to Toronto by late morning.

Details
Day 1
Meet near the Toronto Airport, then we’ll travel to the southernmost
point on the Bruce Trail - the Niagara cairn. Explore Queenston
Heights Park with exceptional views of the Niagara River.
Day 2
Hike through the Grindstone Creek valley, past Smokey Hollow Falls
and through typical forests of Southern Ontario.
Day 3
Continue the Bruce Trail adventure through the Forks of the Credit
Provincial Park, just north of Toronto. Here the Credit River narrows
and rushes through a deep gorge, plunging over falls.
Day 4
Explore Hockley Valley. We’ll hike through woodlands, open meadows and across crests of the Niagara Escarpment. Overnight at a
reindeer and horse farm.
Day 5
Spend the day in the Petun Conservation Area and the Pretty River
Valley Park. We’ll follow the Bruce Trail as it winds its way through a
myriad of rock faces, cliffs and crevices.
Day 6
Discover the Beaver Valley. We’ll pass Eugenia Falls, a 30 metre sheet
of water cascading down into the river below. The peaceful forests give
the area a flavour of untouched wilderness.
Day 7
Drive to the Bognor Marsh, a unique area along the Bruce Trail.
Day 8
Continue north to enjoy Hope Bay where the terrain becomes more
rugged and remote.
Day 9

Long pants (poison ivy is prevalent), long-sleeved shirt, shortsleeved shirt, fleece jacket. Dinners are casual. Bathing suit (some
hotels have pools and hot tubs)
Hiking boots - well-fitting, broken-in boots with good ankle
support are a must. Waterproofing them will keep your feet dry in
rain and heavy dew.
Rain suit, hat (for sun protection), windbreaker (rain jacket may be
sufficient)
Backpack with waterproof cover (large enough to carry water,
lunch, extra clothing and personal items), water bottles or CamelBak-type reservoir (hikers will need to carry 1-2 litres of water depending on distance and terrain), sunscreen, sunglasses, hiking pole/s (optional)
Insect repellent (for mosquitoes and blackflies in May and June), moleskin (for blisters), camera, binoculars, “nature
break” kit for toileting (ziplock bags, tissues, moist towels) to be disposed of on return to the hotel. Toilet facilities
are not available along the Trail. We use the privacy of the forest.
Hiking Etiquette
• Do not disturb wildlife
• Stay on the marked trail
• Carry out all litter
• Use the stiles over fences; don’t climb them
• Respect the privacy of people living along the Trail
• Take only memories, leave only footprints
Weather:
We hike rain or shine! Hikes will only be delayed or cancelled if conditions are deemed to be unsafe by your
hike leader.
Drinking Water:
Bottled water will be provided for hiking on weekend and Bruce Trail hikes. For Algonquin Park trips, a
refillable water bottle is required.
Internet Access:
Almost all overnight stays provide complimentary internet access, although it can be inconsistent due to
satellite operations. There is no internet access or cellular phone service in Algonquin Park.
Electricity:
120v/60hz. Two flat prongs (ungrounded) with a third round prong (grounded).
Gratuities:
Gratuities for all hotels and meals are included in your tour price. Should you wish to tip your hike leader or
bus driver, the standard in the industry ranges from $8-12 per person per day.

When you book with Travelpath the following Terms and Conditions become part of your contract.
By accessing, browsing or making a reservation through this website, you expressly accept these Terms and Conditions, without modification, and
intend to be legally bound by them. To the extent any travel products and/or services are booked through your Travel Agent or in person at Travelpath or by phone with Travelpath, you agree that these Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions. Please read these Terms and Conditions
carefully. If you do not accept all of these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the website or make any reservations through your Travel Agent
or Travelpath.
Accuracy of Information
Travelpath makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information contained herein and to the best of its knowledge all information is accurate at the time of
publication. We try to ensure that the prices on the website are accurate, however errors do occur and we reserve the right to refuse to accept bookings at any price
published in error. Updates are published on our website when new information is made available, however Travelpath cannot be responsible for any inaccuracies or
omissions contained herein or for any third party publications or postings. Information contained should be verified directly with other available sources. We strongly

Pricing
These prices are dependent on a variety of variable factors including, but not limited to, fuel costs, rates of exchange and other factors. Should these costs increase
Travelpath reserves the right to increase the price of any of our holiday products. In the event that any such increase is in excess of 7% (unless it is the result of an
increase in government tax), you will be entitled to cancel your travel arrangements and receive a full refund. Commercially reasonable efforts will be made to advise
you of any price increase at least 15 days prior to your departure date. All price increases may reflect administrative costs incurred.
Age Range
Travellers of all ages are welcome – our hike guides will help you determine which day hike is the best match for your ability. If you prefer not to hike, there will be
lengthy waits on the bus most days.
Not Included
All costs for entry visas, passports, health certificates and items of a personal nature, e.g. laundry, meals not mentioned in itineraries, telephone calls, tips, alcoholic
beverages, etc. are not included in the price of your holiday package.
Special Requests
Any hotel preferences such as room location, bed preferences, etc. must be requested at the time of booking. Any medical diets or known food allergies must be made
known at time of booking. While Travelpath will attempt to accommodate special requests Travelpath will not be held responsible if such requests cannot be fulfilled.
Payment Policy
Travelpath accepts Interac transfers, MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards as forms of payment. Your authorization to use your credit card or Interac
number to pay for travel services provided by Travelpath indicates your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions, whether or not you have actually signed credit card
forms. Therefore, by providing your Travel Agent or Travelpath with authorization to use your credit card or Interac number to pay for your Travelpath travel services
you are confirming that you will pay the total amount charged for those services to the card issuer according to your cardholder agreement. Simultaneously you are
also acknowledging your acceptance of Travelpath’s Terms and Conditions.
Deposit & Balance of Payment
A $500 deposit per person is due at the time of reservation. Full and final payment must be received by Travelpath 60 days prior to departure, or immediately for
reservations made 60 days or less before departure.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing and fees are applied as noted below. Exceptions to this cancellation policy cannot be made for any reason, including personal
emergencies, illness, or weather.
Cancellations received on or before 91 days prior to the start of the trip: $100 per person.
Cancellations received 90 to 61 days prior to the start of the trip: 25 percent loss of trip price.
Cancellations received within 60 days of the start of the trip: 100 percent loss of trip price.
Tour Cancellations
Travelpath reserves the right to cancel any tour where the minimum number of four passengers is not reached by 60 days prior to departure. In such cases, you will be
refunded in full of all monies paid.
Confirmation Kit
Upon receipt of your deposit, we will mail or e-mail you a confirmation kit that includes information on what to bring, how to prepare for your trip, travel directions,
pre- and post-trip hotel suggestions, a detailed itinerary and suggested reading material. We also send a Waiver and Guest Information and Acknowledgement forms,
which must be completed and returned no later than 90 days prior to the tour.
Trip Member Responsibility
As a trip member, your responsibility to Travelpath and to other tour members includes:

Selecting a trip appropriate to your ability and interests

Being sufficiently healthy and attaining the proper fitness level to undertake the trip

Preparing for your trip by reading ALL of the pre-departure information sent to you by Travelpath

Bringing along the appropriate clothing and equipment

Acting in an appropriate and respectful manner in accordance with the customs, cultures, and laws of the regions visited.
Travelpath reserves the right to accept, retain, or decline any tour member at any time, for any reason. In such a case, a refund equal to the actual cost of the unused
services is the limit of Travelpath’s responsibility.
Travel Documents
Travel documents for all Travelpath’s programs will not be released until Travelpath has received your full and final payment as per the requirements described elsewhere in these Terms & Conditions.
Documentation
It is your responsibility to determine what documentation is required for travel to Canada. Travelpath will assume no responsibility whatsoever for passengers denied
entry into Canada.
Baggage Handling
Your baggage will be transported for you between hotels. Baggage is limited to one medium and one small carry-on suitcase per person.
Departure Times
It is your responsibility to be at the meeting point with your luggage 30 minutes prior to departure. Travelpath does not accept responsibility for missed holiday time
or any other additional expenses incurred by missing the tour departure. We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to provide you with coverage for
unexpected developments of this nature.
Accommodation
Please be advised that room sizes and furnishings at small hotels and bed & breakfasts vary from room to room. While conditions may not always be the same as
those at home, particularly with regards to electricity, water supplies and private toilet facilities, Travelpath’s staff and/or agents have inspected all of the hotels and
bed & breakfasts described on this website to ensure acceptable standards. Many properties undergo routine maintenance and renovation both in the low and high
seasons. If we are advised that significant work at your hotel will be in progress during your stay or any major facilities will not be available we will try to advise you
prior to your departure.
Hotel Changes
If the accommodation reserved is not available for any reason, we reserve the right to substitute a hotel of a similar category. This section does not apply to a change
in hotel that is a major change as referred to in the section “Travelpath’s Responsibility” or to a change of hotel, which occurs by reason of circumstances that are
beyond our reasonable control. For the most up-to-date hotel descriptions please visit www.travelpath.com.
Service Concerns
Travelpath has taken great care in selecting the travel suppliers used and featured in this brochure. If you are concerned with the level of service or have any questions
or issues that may arise during your hiking holiday please contact Travelpath so that we can work to ensure that you have an enjoyable holiday. We are toll free at

Refunds for Unused Travel Services
No refund is made for unused travel services or any portion thereof, nor is the price or value of unused travel services exchangeable for alternative arrangements. The
day of departure is excluded when calculating cancellation or change fees. All cancellation fees will be calculated on the total amount of products and services purchased. We strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance to provide you with coverage for unexpected developments that may cause you to either cancel your
holiday entirely or interrupt your vacation unexpectedly.
Travelpath’s Responsibility
On your behalf, Travelpath arranges with hotels, bus companies, hike guides and other independent suppliers to provide you with the services you have purchased.
Travelpath exercises due care in selecting these companies and pays particular attention to their reputation and reliability. However, Travelpath does not control these
suppliers and thus we cannot be held responsible for their performance or lack thereof. Therefore, Travelpath shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss or
damage whether mental, emotional or physical howsoever sustained, resulting or arising from any error, omission or negligence of any company or person, agent,
employee or sub-contractor supplying any of these services as part of your Travelpath holiday. Travelpath as the tour operator and/or its agents do not assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, costs or expense arising out of personal injury or death, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointment, illness, distress or frustration whether physical, emotional or mental, resulting from or arising out of any of the following:
 Any negligent act or omission by the transportation companies, coach operators, hotel/bed & breakfast properties or other suppliers or their personnel or any company or person.
 Government actions, weather, equipment failure, labour disputes, sickness, theft or any other cause beyond our control.
 Failure of the passenger to obtain the necessary documentation or meet the required health regulations in order to complete their travel arrangements.
 Failure of the passenger to arrive at the meeting point within the time frame stipulated by Travelpath in these Terms and Conditions on the day of departure whether due to missed connections, adverse weather conditions, mechanical failures or any other reason whatsoever.
 The need for us to change itineraries or substitute accommodation or services, provided that efforts are made to supply comparable services and accommodations
available.
 Cancellation of a tour by Travelpath, provided that full refund of all monies paid is made to the passenger.
While every effort has been undertaken to ensure accuracy, photographs, artist’s rendering and written descriptions appearing in Travelpath’s brochure and website or
any associated website they are representational only and are not a guarantee that everything at the destinations will be exactly as depicted.
Act of God/Force Majeure
Travelpath and/or its suppliers cannot assume liability for any loss, damage or injury of any nature in whole or in part resulting from an Act of God or any other Force
Majeure condition including without limitation: fire, volcanic eruption, environmental pollution or contamination, inclement weather, earthquake, flood, water or
power shortages or failures, tropical storms or hurricanes, riots or civil commotions or disturbances and any other acts of similar nature, sabotage, arrests, strikes or
other labour disruptions, restraints of rulers or peoples, expropriations, acts of terrorism, war, insurrection, quarantine restrictions, government health advisories or
warnings or alerts of any kind or nature, government seizures, refusal or cancellation or suspension or delay of any government authority or any license, permit or
authorization, damages to its facilities in Canada, or any other factor unforeseen by Travelpath that impacts negatively on or hampers its ability to fulfill any of its
contractual conditions. In the event that any of these conditions apply, Travelpath shall be excused, discharged or released from its performance to the extent such
performance is so limited or prevented, without liability of any kind.
Limitation of Travelpath’s Liability
Travelpath’s liability for any loss, damage or injury, whether to property, physical or mental, arising from its own acts, omissions or negligence, is limited to the
amount you paid to Travelpath for the services with respect to which you are claiming.
Indemnification of Travelpath
The passenger agrees to indemnify and save harmless Travelpath against any liability, actions (including legal fees), claims, losses, costs and damages, which Travelpath may incur, sustain or pay arising out of or in connection with the passenger’s negligent or intentional act or omission, in relation to any incident alleged to have
occurred in destination and/or in relation to services provided by Travelpath.
Application
These Terms and Conditions are binding upon all members of the passenger’s family, dependants, estate, heirs, successors and legal personal representatives.
Forum
Your contract with Travelpath is governed by and is to be construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
Further, any claim or action arising out of or relating to your vacation may be filed only in the courts of Ontario and you agree to attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of
such courts.
Severability
If any term or condition or any portion hereof is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions of these Terms and Conditions will remain in full force and
effect, and, if possible, the portion(s) found unenforceable will be construed in a manner consistent with the remaining portions.
Acknowledgement
By making a reservation to purchase a holiday product from Travelpath you, the passenger, hereby acknowledge that you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions contained herein.
Validity
These Terms and Conditions are valid for bookings made between October 2014 and December 2015.
