Today, you can still taste a crisp, fresh-picked apple, touch a newborn calf and enjoy a beautiful drive through the County’s rural west to see autumn in its brightest hues. Fall is the perfect time to celebrate the County’s strong agricultural heritage and their “city cousins” share. The Howard County Farm-City Celebration is 16 days of fun for families, learning experiences for kids of all ages, and an opportunity to appreciate the contributions our farms make to the quality of life for all Howard County residents. Celebrating the 12th Anniversary of the Howard County Farm-City Celebration join us from September 26 to October 11, farms are opening their doors to visitors and holding Fall Harvest Festivals. And, don’t miss visiting Farm Heritage Days, Sept. 26-27, across from Howard County Fairgrounds (12985 Frederick Road, West Friendship).
