In 1887, the dutch composer H. Zeger-Veeckens’ ­holiday ­residence
was completed in a unique ­architectural style which compared very
favourably with the grand hotel ­palaces of Bad Gastein, a favourite
­destination of kings and queens, Nobel prize winners and the world’s
economical and ­political elite. Villa Orania is a stunning ­example of the
work of the Italian ­master builder Angelo Comini, who ­collaborated
with the architect ­G. Mey from Interlaken on the project. The 100
sqm villa, situated 1.100 m above sea level right in the centre of Bad
­Gastein, is one of the most attractive “Hideaways“ in the Alps. In
2008 this spectacular ­building was completely renovated, resulting
in 8 ­apartments with ­exceptionally high living standards. Villa Orania
must be ­considered as one of the most attractive”Hideaways” in the
Alps.
Im Jahr 1887 wurde die Villa Orania als Ferienresidenz für die
­holländische Komponistin H. Zeger-Veeckens erbaut. Die ­einzigartige

die Villa Orania nach den Zeichnungen des schweizer ­Architekten

By car: From Germany: take the A8 to the Bad Reichenhall/Walserberg
border crossing towards Salzburg. Before Salzburg, turn right onto the A10/
E55, which runs to Villach until you reach the Bischofshofen/­Gasteinertal
exit. Take the B 311 via St. Johann/Pongau towards ­Innsbruck/Zell am
See. At Lend, turn left on to the B 167 and drive towards ­Gasteinertal/
Villach. From Kärnten: From the south, you drive via Villach, Möllbrücke
and Obervellach to Mallnitz and Bad Gastein.
By train: You have perfect connections from all over Europe and from
the railwaystation you have 100 m to the hotel entrance.
By plane: There are excellent international flight connections via ­Salzburg
W.A. Mozart and Munich airport. We will gladly give you more information
