The Andromeda Beach Club provides a space for BellaMar

Republic of Panamá
In recent years Panama has become one of the world’s
top retirement and second home destinations, as well as
a world class tourist location – particularly for adventure
and eco-tourism. The Panamanian economy is stronger
and more stable than other Central American countries
and presents a superior infrastructure throughout the
country. The tropical climate, low cost of living, high
quality cheap healthcare, US dollar economy, affordable
titled real estate, senior discounts, and being rated as one
of the safest countries in Latin America make Panama the
best place to retire or invest in a second home. The core
income of the Panama Canal, and the current $5.4 Billion
expansion of the Canal, further increase the strength and

Costa Rica’s most active province seems to have a
follower in its wake. The Azuero Peninsula is Panama’s
emerging Guanacaste.
The comparison is due to their common Spanish heritage,

region of Los Santos is much further along than that of
Guanacaste in its early days.
Still, even in the universal favorite Pedasi area, the gem
of the Azuero, real estate prices remain significantly less
than their counterparts in Guanacaste. It is rumored that

This small coastal fishing village nestled on green rolling
hills was not long ago a hidden treasure among sport
fishermen and surfers. Recently Pedasi has become a
rapidly growing hot spot for tourists and investors from all
over the world.
When you come to Pedasi, impeccably paved highways
slink through endless green fields and wind around
beautiful cliffs where you can see tide pools, beaches
and miles of pristine Pacific ocean shoreline. There are
fantastic beaches for swimming, surfing and fishing.
Nicknamed the Tuna Coast for its abundant Yellowfin
Tuna, the Azuero Peninsula has World Class fishing year
round.
In town you will find quiet streets with colonial style
homes and manicured lawns, as well as supermarkets,
banks, gas stations, hotels, several good restaurants, and
a medical center with English speaking doctors.
This quiet seaside town already has some of the best
roads and infrastructure in Panama, credited to former
Panamanian President and Pedasi native Mireya Moscoso.
Today´s President, Ricardo Martinelli, also has large land
ownership in the area.
The Azuero Peninsula is considered the heartland of
Panama and is known for its cultural traditions and
folklore. There is a timeless quality to daily life here,
a blend of the ultra-modern with the centuries-old
traditional ways.
The Government of Panama is currently making
significant investments with a new airport under
construction, a large highway improvement underway,
and a new $36M modern hospital facility.
Thanks to controlled development and growth, the
natural beauty is being preserved.
Isla Iguana
Isla Iguana is a Galapagos-esque island that sits about
15 minutes offshore - inhabited by rare birds, purple and
red crabs, and giant lizards. It offers clear blue water and
white sand as nice as any Caribbean island.
An extensive coral reef surrounds the palm-dotted island,
giving it a powdery, blinding, white-sand beach, and its
crystal-clear, shallow waters offer the laziest snorkeling
imaginable, as hawksbill turtles, cornetfish, and a myriad
brightly-colored tropical fish nibble and dart about the
coral branches.
Playa Venao
Playa Venao, a short drive west from Pedasi, is one of
Panama´s best surf spots and attracts surfers from all
over the world. There is a an old-school tropical chic
about the Playa Venao beach area. It is a place where
surfers can ride excellent waves, and scuba divers can
choose from multiple dive sites, including the nearby
Frailes Islands.
Isla Cañas, just beyond Playa Venao, boasts a
14-kilometer long beach and is a major nesting site
for several marine turtles. A little further afield, the
Cerro Joya National Park offers hiking through pristine
rainforest, with several waterfalls, monkeys and birds
galore.
