Portillos in Panama Volume 10 Newsletter Date: 09/20/16 Guitar lessons opened the doors to share the Word! I am forever thankful that one day God gave me the desire to learn how to play the guitar, though I did not learn at a professional level, it has been enough to open the doors for me and my family to start guitar lessons in two different Orphanages . God has given us grace before the directors of both Institutions. They have allowed us to pray, worship and share the Word before we start the lessons. Special Prayer Request: There is such a great need in these children of God’s love and God’s Word that we are humbled, thankful, and privileged to have such a wonderful opportunity before us to be channels of God’s blessings upon their lives. In the picture to the right corner we are sharing with the children in Casa Hogar and the picture just above we are at Hogar de Niñas. It has been approximately two month since we started and it has not been ease but God has been faithful as always. We will continue to trust in His lead and leave the results to Him. Please pray for these children that God may bring healing and restoration to their life. For God’s special protection of our marriage, our children that are with us, Moises and Ani and the rest of them that stayed in the states. For God to prosper the work in the orphanages, For God to help us start a bible study in the town of Membrillo For God to save the lost through the movie nights at the park. For God to strengthen His church here in Panama, especially CC Panama. For God to work within the Naso tribe by raising a man with a heart for sound doctrine. Portillos in Panama Visiting the Naso Tribe We were able to go to Tjer-Kin, Naso community in Changuinola. God blessed us greatly during the time we spent with them. we met and ministered some other families this time that we did not meet the first time we came. We shared the word of God with the children at their level and also we gave them literature donated to us by One Hope International. The children were so appreciative and excited with their booklets! Over the counter medicine and reading glasses given to us by Doctor Muts last time he was in Panama was given to different families that responded to the invitation for the event. We held the events at two different places within the community which allowed us to ministered and interact with even more families. The picture in the right was at the community Hall in which at the end of the day we presented the movie “courageous”. Portillos in Panama In our first visit we were introduced to Marlon and had a great connection with him and his wife and children but this time he introduced us to his mother and sisters and built a tent specifically to hold the event. The word was taught and we ended the day with two movies, “Courageous” and “The Passion of the Christ” Movie night at Marlon’s Family My wife was able to bless the community also by checking their blood pressure Movie night at the Community Hall
