A little bit more about Pedasi
PEDASI HEALTH CARE
The brand new Hospital its about to finish construction within the following
months, right at the entrance of Pedasi.
In the meantime, we visited the current Health Center (Centro de Salud) in Pedasi,
located one block down the town square and where pleased as usual to find how
well equipped and maintained is.
One of our founders had the chance to use the emergency services at the
beginning of the month, and was amazed by how fast, good and inexpensive the
medical attention was. –We have him back in great conditions again, by the way!
NEW PEDASI AIRPORT
All local authorities where present in Pedasi in January for the official opening of
the new airport now serving the area.
Main local airline, Air Panama –part of Copa Airlines holdings- will now initiate
flights to the brand new airport.
Now we’re just 40 minutes away from Pedasi, and commuting from Panama City
through a convenient direct flight can be an everyday option.
But for more on the plus side you’ll be happy to learn that the road overhaul is
now almost completed, and the access by car has shortened by almost half an
hour.
Isla Iguana
ISLA IGUANA
Fifteen minutes off the coast of Pedasi is the
national wildlife refuge Isla Iguana. This is
truly a beautiful island surrounded by 16hectares of protected coral reef made up of
11 species. The island is more than 4,800
years in age and is home of more than 250
species of fish.
The 2 beaches on Isla Iguana have fine
white sand and clear turquoise waters that
are easy to swim in for the youngest of age.
You may be fortunate to catch a glimpse of
humpback whales between the months of
June and November or find yourself spear
fishing along side hammerhead sharks and
dolphins.

Playa Venao, just thirty minutes drive west from Pedasi, is one of Panamas best surf spots with a
consistent south swell that attracts surfers from all over the world. One of Panama’s top surf
breaks- Playa Venao is a surfer’s paradise noted for its 6 to 10 foot waves. This place is a wave
machine!
The best sport or for those who want to learn and get an excellent workout, Venao’s year round
surf season is world renown and peaks during the months of December through June.
