As I write this article, Carroll Lutheran School is beginning its 15th anniversary
year with the 2014-2015 school year. All of us connected with the school are grateful to
God for His mercies in bringing the school to this milestone.
Fiscal year 2013-2014 has been one of momentous challenges and
accomplishments. I want to thank all our constituents for the work they have done to bring
us to our 15th anniversary year. First and foremost, our parents and students who place their
trust in CLS deserve our greatest thanks for recognizing the strength of the school’s
educational and faith-based foundation in learning. And that strong educational and faithbased foundation can be attributed to the leadership and preparation by the finest
administrator and staff assembled in our beautiful building. Let us be thankful for all of
them who make the school a place where God is honored and academics are promoted.
In addition to these groups, I want to thank our generous donors for helping to
establish a stronger financial base upon which to build for the future. Without your
continued support CLS could not operate successfully, since tuitions cannot possibly cover
all expenses foreseen and unforeseen. On behalf of the Board, I ask you to continue your
generous giving to keep CLS financially competitive and strong.
Speaking of the Board of Trustees, I would be remiss if I did not thank Board
members for their time, talents and treasure so generously given over this past fiscal year to
see that Carroll Lutheran School remains strong in faith and mission to educate the whole
child. Committee chairs and members of the committees have been active participants in
every aspect of the school—marketing/PR, philanthropy and grants, church relations,
finance, facilities management, governance/HR, and nominating. To all involved in these
endeavors I say thank you.
Thank God from whom all blessings flow, for our constituents, and for our
churches who make CLS a great school!

CLS Annual Report
2013-2014
Administrator’s Message ~ Karen E. Ganjon
On September 2, we opened our school
doors and greeted 103 students at Carroll
Lutheran School to begin the 2014-2015 school
year. We welcomed 34 new students, 10 new
staff, and many of our former students, families
and staff. In addition, we added our CLS before
and after care program to support our families
who needed that service.
Our CLS rigorous, faith-based
educational program is evident throughout our
building. Students are engaged in lessons that
require them to think, problem solve and to be creative. Subjects
taught include opportunities for students to show what they know and
are able to do in a variety of ways. The environment is one of mutual
respect: we celebrate Christian compassion, demonstrate a love of
learning and develop social responsibility.
Chapel services take place each Wednesday. Visitors are
always welcome to attend. CLS encourages families and community
members to volunteer in our wonderful place of learning where the
love of Christ is proclaimed through the integration of faith and life.
All faiths are welcome!
