ACLC-EoV
Access Concentrator VDSL Line Card
Automatic rate adaption up to 10Mbps over distances up to 4000ft over existing
telephone wires
The ACLC-EoV seamlessly integrates with other
products already deployed in the network such as
Tut’s 1 Mbps line card, SDSL line cards and Tut’s
Expresso SMS/OCS subscriber management system.
This integration allows service providers to offer
faster speeds and new services in a network without
the cost and time associated with a full hardware
upgrade.

Aggregate traffic from each line card can be sent to
an ACMXC multiplexer card on the Expresso chassis,
allowing a single 10/100BT connection and ensuring
port-to-port privacy within the ACLC-EoV and across
other line cards deployed in the chassis. This privacy
feature is enabled by default without the need to
establish hundreds of VLAN ports and tags.

The ACLC-EoV
utilizes VDSL
technology to
provide point-topoint connectivity up to 10Mbps
and distances up
to 4000 feet
Expresso ACLC-EoVDSL
Access Concentrator Ethernet-over-VDSL 10Mbps
Line Card
The access concentrator line card (ACLC-EoV) operates in the Expresso MDU chassis and uses Ethernetover-VDSL (EoVDSL) to deliver data at 10Mbps
over copper wires at distances up to 4,000 feet. The
line card aggregates traffic for up to eight subscribers
and a small Ethernet adapter terminates each line for
connection to end-users’ PCs, guest laptops, video
set-top boxes, 802.11a/b wireless access points, conference room switches, or any other Ethernet-compatible device. The ACLC-EoV automatically rate
adapts to the wire conditions.
The ACLC-EoV enables video-centric applications
such as video-on-demand (VOD), Broadcast TV and
IPTV via a more efficient distributed computing environment which has support of IGMP snooping and IP
multicasting on the line card. Channel changing is
optimized to less than 30 milliseconds. By supporting multi- bit-rate video applications, the ACLC-EoV
enables highly popular video services, which generate
new revenue from existing network infrastructures.
Each ACLC-EoVDSL rate adaptive line will independently link at one of five profiles;
