Washington, DC - Nubia Filmworks, LLC. and The "T" Collection,
the producers of the highly acclaimed feature length motion picture Too
Saved, announce that they will begin filming its new feature length motion
picture NocturnalAgony April 11, 2011 in Washington, DC. The film
will star several established Hollywood actors and entertainers including
renowned gospel recording artist Hezekiah Walker, veteran film and
television actress Vernee Watson (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The
Guiding Light, Welcome Back Kotter), veteran film and television actor
Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs (A Preacher's Kid, The Jacksons, Cooley High,
Welcome Back Kotter), former child actress Rae'Ven Larrymore Kelly
(A Preacher's Kid, What's Love Got to Do With It, A Time to Kill, Ghosts
of Mississippi, Hannah Montana), renowned Washington D.C Go-Go
Artist and actor Anwan "Big G" Glover (The Wire, Treme,
Misunderstandings, Shoe-Dog), and Helen Hayes award winning actress
Deidra LaWan Starnes (Ladder 49). The film will be directed by award
winning writer/director Shuaib "Curtis" Mitchell (Too Saved, Straight
Up Go-Go).
Inspired by a true story, Nocturnal Agony is a "faith-based" drama based
upon the life of a renowned evangelist (Lois, played by Vemee Watson)
who is on the verge of retirement when she discovers that her seemingly
"perfect" daughter (Patty, played by Deidra LaWan Starnes) has relapsed
on drugs after many years of sobriety. This revelation uncovers years of
hidden family secrets and forces Lois into a painful examination of her
many faults and shortcomings as a parent."

The screenplay, which was adapted from an original stage play (written by
John L McCoy, Executive Producer /Writer Too Saved, was written by
Shuaib "Curtis" Mitchell and has won numerous awards including the
prestigious Larry Neal Writer's Award (Honorable Mention in Dramatic
Writing), the 2009 Creative World A wards Screenplay Competition
(preliminary finalist), the ts" Annual Writer's Network Screenplay &
Fiction Competition (quarter-finalist) and the 14th Annual Fade-In
Awards Screenplay Competition (quarter-fmalist). "Wow! The time has
finally arrived. I am extremely excited to begin shooting Nocturnal Agony
and about the success the screenplay has had throughout the industry. It is

Nocturnal Agony marks the second of a trilogy of films to be produced by
Nubia Filmworks, LLC. and The "T" Collection. The first film, the highly
acclaimed Too Saved, was released nationwide by Maverick
Entertainment Group, Inc, in 2009 and is the winner of numerous awards
including the prestigious Dove "Family-Approved" Seal, (receiving a 4Star Rating), Best Film (2nd Place) at the 1st Annual KingdomWood
Christian Film Festival, October, 2008, Atlanta, GA., and a nomination
for Best Religious Film at the 5th Annual San Diego Black Film Festival,
