REMEMBERING
“KELS”
The Maid of Honor and The Bride!

THE KELLEYS “GIVE BACK” TO
NASHUA CENTER
A recent surprise visit from Mike Kelley, Melissa’s Dad,
turned out to be a gesture of incredible kindness by the Kelley Family on behalf of Melissa. Aside from the many
“supplies & equipment” that may be useful for other individuals receiving the Center’s services, they also donated
Melissa’s accessible van! This will certainly help others who
need specialized transportation to access their local communities. On behalf of all of us at Nashua Center, THANK
YOU for your generosity. Melissa is smiling once again!
Sometimes in our lives, the hardest thing is saying
goodbye, especially to those we love. Melissa Kelley, otherwise known as “KELS” to her family and
friends has been part of the Nashua Center family
for over 30 years. Saying goodbye to her has left a
hole in the hearts of all who had the privilege of
knowing her and loving her. She was “the life of the
party” and “the apple of our eyes” but the memories
we cherish of her will truly live in our hearts and
minds forever.
WE MISS YOU “KELS”!
IMAGINE
...waking up tomorrow and not being
able to get out of bed without help.
...needing full assistance to eat, drink,
take a shower or get dressed.
...not being able to speak, see or hear
like you do today.
Now, imagine how you would live
your life to the fullest and pursue your
life dreams with the dignity and
respect you would expect as a member
in your community.
Everyday, Nashua Center helps
individuals realize their life dreams.
SEASONS GREETINGS!

The “plates”, of course, stayed with her family!
Congratulations to
Kyle Bryant on securing employment at
NAPA Auto Parts on
Main St. in Nashua.
Kyle joins the ranks as
a delivery person.
Kyle is supported on
his job by his long

Kevin Crowley. They
are working one day a
week delivering auto parts to many different
locations. This is Kyle’s first paid employment
opportunity and he couldn’t be prouder!
Thank you to NAPA for recognizing Kyle’s
ability to be a productive and valuable employee. We look forward to a long and successful
relationship!
Lenny Kennedy
has owned and
operated his own
vending machine
business here at
Nashua Center for
the past several
years. We are
proud to announce
that he was able to
use his profits to
purchase another
vending machine
which he has since
placed at RK Auto, located on Congress Street in Nashua.
Thank you to RK Auto for partnering with Lenny in this
venture. This has been a dream of Lenny since he purchased his
first machine. Thank you also to Taylor Boulia for assisting
Lenny in finding this machine at such a reasonable cost!

TEAM BUILDING & LEARNING!
TCP’s staff was fortunate to spend a few
days at Loon Mountain attending an infant mental health conference. In addition to the knowledge gained from the
workshops and presentations, we spent
some quality time team building and site
seeing! The views were spectacular! We
had a wonderful time and are grateful for
the experience of learning new clinical
skills and having fun as a group.

SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT PROVIDES
VALUABLE WORK EXPERIENCE!
This Fall, Meghan and Christopher secured seasonal work as “recovery specialists” at Party City
with the help of their DSP’s Sandy Fontaine and Linsey Fusco and Job Developer, Michelle
Delaney. It was a very busy Halloween season and they were responsible for stocking merchandise,
replacing returned items, keeping the store orderly and clean and directly assisting customers.
Both Meghan and Christopher liked their boss, Dan, because he was “funny and nice”. Christopher’s favorite part of the
job was organizing merchandise. Overall, Meghan thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Christopher accepted a regular
part-time position! He’s looking forward to learning more aspects of the job.
LIFE-OP actively pur sues employment for all of the adults r eceiving their ser vices.
“May we help you find what you are looking for?”
