Quarterly Newsletter Spring 2015 Providing Services as: JOBS ETC. & LIFE-OP, Residential Services, The Children’s Pyramid, CLASSIC In-Home Care Nashua Center’s 13th Annual Taste of the Towns continues its success! On March 27th at 6 pm, the Radisson Hotel Nashua’s Main Ballroom was filled with hundreds of people who came to support Nashua Center. It was a sight to see, the place to be and for all the right reasons! It was Nashua Center’s 13th Annual Taste of the Towns! As is customary, attendees were welcomed by a full array of restaurants, a bakery, wine brokers and craft beverage distributors that were anxiously waiting to serve up their finest creations and products for tasting. This “moving” portion of the evening gave everyone the opportunity to please their palates and socialize with friends and family. They were also able to admire and bid on over 100 amazing silent auction items that ranged from custom baskets to classic sports memorabilia. After the two hour tasting, everyone gathered together for the formal welcoming, recognition of all the sponsors and honorary chairpersons, followed by a live auction and fund a need campaign. The common theme amongst all the guests was generosity! The event, once again, raised over $100,000 for Nashua Center’s five programs that provide services to more than 500 individuals a year ranging in age birth through life and living throughout Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties. We would like to recognize our Honorary Chairpersons, The Anderson Family from Tel-Net, long standing business partners and friends of Nashua Center. Also, a special thanks to Michael Boyle, not only for his amazing commitment and support of Nashua Center over the years, but for his “surprise of the night” contribution! Thank you to all who attended and made it such a successful event once again! See you next year! We are all very proud and excited for you! Surprise Surprise! You can always expect the unexpected from Mike Boyle of Boyle Energy Services & Technology. When Brian brought out a Large Blank Check at Taste of the Towns as a “prop” for his welcoming remarks, Mike saw that as an opportunity to “give” once again to Nashua Center. He asked for a marker, which Brian just happened to have, and proceeded to fill out the check for $5,000, matching his Platinum Sponsorship! The moral of the story is; always carry a marker if you have a blank check! Come on Lucky 7! The end of a PERFECT DAY! OH WHAT A NIGHT! THANK YOU MIKE, YOU’RE AMAZING!
