The Dudley Wines Team are thrilled to announce that
we have been successful in our bid to be a major sponsor of the
Kangaroo Island Cup Carnival from the 13th to the 15th of February 2015!
Dudley’s extensive range of wines will be available at the Dudley Ripple
Wine Bar as well as fun games and cool prizes. On Saturday
the 14th of February we will be hosting “A Punter’s Intermission”
day at the Dudley Wines Cellar Door for KI Cup attendees to celebrate the
day off between race days, with live music, gourmet food and great wines.

Summer on the Deck!
Thanks to the hard work of the menfolk here at Dudley Wines
the deck at our Clifftop Cellar Door has doubled in size!
This means we now have plenty of space for our visitors to admire
the view and for our musicians to perform on Savvy Sundays!
We are eagerly awaiting summer here at Dudley Wines and as usual
our Clifftop Cellar Door will be open every day except Christmas!

New Release New Look Grassy Flat !
The 2014 Grassy Flat Sauvignon Blanc is arguably our best yet. It has a pale straw
hue, with aromas of vibrant tropical fruits like pineapple, passionfruit and lychees
and touches of floral herbs with juicy, full stonefruit flavours of nectarine and peach
and lasting green apple acidity. This is a lively and exciting wine best served icy cold
with your favourite seafood dish.
Look out for the new lime green label and Dudley Bottle caps!
Winery Report
Every season on Kangaroo Island is different which results in interesting
variations in our wine’s characteristics. After experiencing the wettest
year ever recorded last year (2013) at Porky Flat we have now had a very
short wet winter and the driest spring ever recorded. The beauty of our
limestone based soils are that the root systems of our vines penetrate a
long way into the soil and therefore the moisture content is dependent
on several years’ rainfall, having a moderating effect. We have bottled all
of our 2014 whites which have come up superbly and our 2013 Shearing
Shed Red is now in the bottle with a striking new label.
