The chamber serves the needs of business and industry while addressing the desires of a growing population. Our membership base is highly diversified. Whether it’s a sole-proprietorship, or a large corporation, the general expectations are the same—promoting pro-business legislation, growing the primary job sectors and expanding the residential marketplace. The Owasso Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to advancing the growth of existing businesses, advocating for new business development and creating an enhanced quality of life for our citizens. Led by a professional board of directors and staff, our primary mission is to foster an environment in which investments, both commercial and residential, provide the business and home owner with the greatest possible return on investment. The Owasso Chamber is a powerful voice for business and industry. In order to advance business friendly legislation, we work closely with administrators and elected officials—from Owasso’s city government and school administration, to our county, state and federal delegations. Concentrated efforts include, advocating for educational initiatives, expanding transportation corridors, broadening the range of healthcare services and expanding economic & workforce development within our city and region. Chairman Mitchell stated, “Our involvement in acquiring the Macy’s fulfillment center was at the forefront of 2014’s accomplishments. This 1.3 million s/f, $180 million facility will bring an estimated 1500 full time and part time jobs in early 2015. Additionally, residential, retail, and healthcare markets are growing. We are excited about the rapid expansion of restaurants to serve the citizens of Owasso and northeastern Oklahoma.” Ever Expanding Owasso Hospitals Owasso Hospitals Cont.
