Expanding
Rejoice Christian School officials are excited that construction is underway on
their new $50 million campus, covering 65 acres. The new campus will have
modern facilities with space and technology for RCS students to develop
spiritually, intellectually and physically while being socially equipped to impact
their community and the world for Christ. The new campus will feature a new
high school, middle school, combined preschool and elementary building and
athletic facilities.
“We plan to grow from 800 students to 1,500 students,” said Dr. Craig Shaw,
Rejoice Christian Schools’ Superintendent. With increased enrollment, RCS will
be a larger employer for the Owasso area. Currently, RCS employs more than 130
employees, and they plan to expand to approximately 200 employees in the next
few years. The new campus will allow Rejoice

high-functioning Christian education for many

Macy’s fulfillment center broke ground on its 1.3 million
s/f facility on April 17, 2014. The 72 acre center will be
located in the Owasso school district on the south side of
76th St. North between Sheridan and Memorial and is the
size of 46 football fields.
At the time of the
groundbreaking, Peter Longo, Macy’s president of L-R. State Rep. David Derby, State Senator Rick Brinkley, Owasso
Doug Bonebrake, Owasso E.D. Director Chelsea Levo, Owasso
logistics and operations, stated that the total investment Mayor

tremendous effort put forth by many individuals and entities throughout

Commissioners, ODOT,
INCOG, Cherokee Nation, and Governor Mary Fallin. The Owasso
Chamber was proud to have been an active participant in bringing Macy’s to our school district.
