imaginarium Science Center Presents imaginarium Family Science Nights The Imaginarium Science Center has designed a selection of unique school-based family night programs to offer in the School Year 2013-14. These programs have been designed to nurture the student’s ability to apply critical thinking skills and tap into their inquisitive nature by engaging them with their families in themed exploration stations to help them grow and bloom to reach their full potential while enjoying some family time in an educational environment. Themed Family Nights available: SAMPLE Family Night Schedule: S.T.E.M. Family Night: 9 hands-on 4:30 Imaginarium Staff arrives for set-up exploration stations engaging students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! 5:30 Imaginarium Staff assigns and trains volunteers on their activity stations NanoScience: 9 hands-on exploration 6:00 - 8:00 Families enjoy rotating through activity stations stations allowing students to discover the smallest science in a BIG way! From creating a circuit to discovering mystery shapes, students will Zoom into Nano! 8:00 Break down activity stations and wish everyone a good night! Be Healthy: 10 hands-on exploration stations Here is what we will need: demonstrating proper health and nutrition practices, while exploring the science behind making good choices! Be S.M.A.R.T.: 11 hands-on exploration ⇒ Large Area (i.e. Cafeteria, Gym) ⇒ 10 Large Tables for activities ⇒ 15 Volunteers (teachers, parents, High School students) to help set-up, work, and break-down activities stations exposing students to the interdisciplinary and cross-cutting concepts of science, math, art and related technologies!
