All school rules apply to Community Day as well as rules that are specific to each activity. Please read the description of the activities on the pages that follow. 2. Please rank your choices, from 13, of which activities you would like to participate in and mark it below. Activities are filled on a “first come” basis, so turn in your registration as early as possible. 3. Choose carefully. There will be no switching of activities. ( Including from VF1 to VF2.) 4. Turn in the completed form for your activity to the main office. 5. Cash should be in an envelope with your name clearly printed on it and stapled to the registration form. No checks will be accepted. 6. All materials must be returned & fines paid before a student is cleared to attend Community Day. Online payment is unavailable for this activity if your child is carrying a fee balance. 7. No verbal permission accepted. Please check descriptions for times and return info. nd ALTERNATIVE NIGHT ACTIVITIES Thursday June 2 nd TWINS Game (evening activity, June 2 ) DEPARTURE: 6:00 p.m. We’ll be sitting in the alcoholfree Our Family Section (section 311) watching the Twins battle the Tampa Bay Rays. Hotdog and Pepsi are included in the price of admission. Thursday games mean Twingo! Students must arrange their own transportation home from North. Note: Students will need a ride back to NJH in order to catch the bus at 6pm. Students may not stay at school from 2:35 until 6 in order to attend this activity. RETURN: 9:30 p.m. Cost $35.00 Limit: 200 Note: Twins registration due 5/18 nd Grand Slam USA (evening activity, June 2 ) DEPARTURE: 3:15 p.m. You and your friends will spend the evening playing minigolf, at the batting cages, riding in bumper cars, playing unlimited laser tag , and a trampoline room. Make sure to get the waiver signed by a parent and wear socks if you’d like to jump on the trampoline! You’ll receive one batting cage token, three arcade tokens, and pizza and pop. RETURN: 7:30 p.m. Cost $26.00 Limit: 200 nd Sky Zone (evening activity, June 2 ) DEPARTURE: 3:00 P.M. Spend two hours jumping around at this indoor trampoline park and enjoy a pizza party to end the night! Sky Zone boasts four different courts that include 3D Dodgeball, Basketball Hoops, and a Foam Pit. This activity fee includes jumping shoe rental, 1.5 hours of nonstop jumping followed by a pizza party dinner in a reserved room. RETURN: 6:30 p.m. Cost $26.00 Limit: 50 Movie Maniacs Join Mr. Thompson for a Thursday after school viewing of X Men: Apocalypse and dinner at a location picked by YOU! Bring money for dinner and movie snacks. RETURN: 9:00 Cost $15 Limit: 11 rd ALTERNATIVE DAY ACTIVITIES Friday June 3 Canoe the St. Croix! Canoe the beautiful St. Croix River ! This scenic trip will begin at Taylors Falls, WI, and will conclude at the Osceola landing. You will be able to easily paddle and float this trip in 34 hours. Price includes a canoe rental and life jacket. Bring a bagged lunch and snacks to enjoy throughout day. Cost $26.00 Limit: 90 MN Zoo Connect with animals and the natural world! Exhibits include the Family Farm, Dolphin Show, Discovery Bay, Bird Show, Northern Trail, and MN Trail. Carry your lunch in with you or bring money to buy it. Cost $26.00 Limit: 25 WaterPark of America Surf Minnesota at the world’s largest indoor water park ! Bring your suit and towel, there’s a tenstory water slide, kayak course, the world’s longest family raft ride, a wave pool, and a surf simulator. Bring money for lunch because we can’t bring in food. Cost $26.00 Limit: 50 Fishing Join Mrs. Egge & a secret guest and head out early to beautiful Lake Mille Lacs to Eddy’s Marina where a captain will t ake you fishing in a 20foot walleye/Muskie boat. It is equipped with a 150hp 4stroke engine! Bait, tackle, pole, and life jackets provided. Bring a snack for the road. You can order a bagged school lunch, bring your own, or bring money for McDonald’s on the way home. Cost $35.00 Limit: 18 Metro Bike Ride Join us for a 27 mile bike ride out to Minnehaha Falls Park! We will be on asphalt trails. Be sure your tires are pumped up with plenty of air. Bring money for lunch (Dairy Queen or Sea Salt) , your own lunch, or sign up to have the school pack one for you! Enthusiastic, nonbeginner riders required . Don't forget your helmets! No BMX or leisure bikes! Cost: FREE Limit: 20 Valleyfair—TWO options Everyone loves a day at ValleyFair! You will have unlimited use of over 75 rides and attractions, including the Water park and IMAX. Bring money for lunch because we can’t bring in food. If you have a season pass please pay separately. Bring $5 cash (to cover the bus) to the main office and we won’t buy you a ticket. Note: If you chose VF Option #1 last year, and did not get on the return bus, you are not allowed to choose Valley Fair this year. Hint: If you are going to VF this year choose wisely … Cost $26.00 Limit: 300 Choose one of two options: Valleyfair Option #1: return to NJH to take your regular bus home Valleyfair Option #2: arrange for own transportation home
