May the Fourth Be With You: Star Wars 101
Wednesday, May 4th in the Library at 2:15 p.m.
The Force is strong with you! Learn all about the box office smash
in this fun filled class taught to you by a true Star Wars fan, Abby
form Community Life! Not only will we learn but we will have a
week long Star Wars movie marathon. After we will meet again on
Saturday May 14th in the library to discuss what we thought. Are
you part of the rebel troops or the dark side? Fun this class will be!
Wednesday, May 18th Spring Fashion Show
May is a month full of
holidays and gorgeous spring
weather. Here at The Inn we
love any reason to celebrate
and throw a fun party, so May
is the perfect month for us!
We kick May off with a
colorful performance of
traditional Folklorico
Dance. Then Thursday, May 5th we have our Cinco de Mayo fiesta!
There will be Mariachis in the dining room and the community life
girls will be serving margaritas at 3:00 p.m.! Mother's Day will be
extra special this year with our first Mother's Day brunch at the
Clubhouse. We will be serving hot custom omelets and
mimosas! Please sign up space is limited! We are also having our
annual spring fashion show, featuring BonWorth clothing, on
Wednesday, 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the Lobby. Come see this seasons
latest and greatest outfit and enjoy delicious cake and
refreshments after! Lets make this May our best month yet!
Path to Well-Being
INTELLECTUAL WELL BEING
This month lets focus on our intellectual
well-being. You are never too old to
learn something new or expand on old
passions. We have a great program with
Watermark University. It is another way
we can bring more activities to you, on
virtually any subject! Staff, residents,
family members, friends and outside
communities can teach and join in. We
have the International Wildlife Museum
come every third Thursday of the month
to talk about the desert life that
surrounds us. We have staff teaching us
about social media, Star Wars and other
passions. If you have a passion or a
curiosity about something please see
one of the Community Life girls and they
can make a class happen! Learning is
lifelong!

Sunday, May 29th- Lunch Out with The
Inn to the Foothills Mall Food Court
We went out into the wild west to the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch by
Picacho Peak! This extraordinary outing was so much fun. We started the
day with a ride around the ranch in a monster truck! While aboard we
learned all about the ranch and the animals living there. Later we enjoyed
our lunch and then feed the animals theirs! There were donkeys, deer,
goats, bunnies, ducks, parakeets, lorikeets and of course ostriches! So many
animals, so little time! We definitely got our work out for the day!
Thankfully we had lots of help and the weather was great! Thank you to all
that came out to this all day trip! We will have to go back soon to see all the
new animals that are coming to join the ranch! It was a great day spent with
great friends!
