atmosphere and acres of beautiful Welsh countryside surrounding it,
Soughton Hall is totally unique and very special.
Many wedding venues describe themselves as ‘unique’ or ‘idyllic’ but

The most romantic
wedding venue in Flintshire
Nearly 300 years old and once a home to bishops and nobility, the Hall
is now privately owned by John and Rosemary Rodenhurst. The stately
historic elegance of the exterior hides a boutique hotel with a warm
and welcoming atmosphere that’s perhaps more relaxed and informal
than you may expect from a country house.
Recently refurbished and redecorated by Rosemary, Soughton
Hall’s fifteen sumptuous bedroom suites, stunning dining room and
functions suites, private library and bar all have the highest standards
of interior design, using handmade carpets and beautiful fabrics and
are filled with antiques and curios.

Weddings

Soughton Hall is an Approved Premises for
civil wedding ceremonies in Flintshire and
you can be married here irrespective of your
home address. As soon as you’ve worked out
a suitable date for your marriage, you should
speak to our local Register Office which is
based in Mold, on 01352 703333, to confirm
they are available and agree a ceremony time.
You should then contact your local Register
Office (i.e. the one covering the area where
you live) and arrange for you and your partner
to give Notice of Marriage. You must reside
in a district for at least 7 days before giving
Notice and you must apply in person.

Soughton Hall now offers an exciting venue
option for your wedding, private function
or corporate event - our own stunning
marquee located within our private gardens.
Owned by Soughton Hall, and with new
fixtures and fittings throughout, you can
now combine the best of both worlds - our
marquee provides a “blank canvas” which
you can personalise for your event with any
theme or colour scheme while having the
benefit of holding your event at a beautiful
venue where we can put our expertise at
your disposal to help with your planning.

No matter what the season, our beautiful
gardens are the perfect backdrop for
your wedding photography - hosts of
daffodils in Spring; a riot of colour in
the summer; our striking red Boston
Creeper in the Autumn, and frost on our
magnificent lime trees in winter.

Choose from our specially tailored
wedding menus, offering the finest
British cuisine, all prepared by our
specialist banqueting team.

and features, amongst many others,
some fantastic South African vintages
not available elsewhere in the UK.
Personal Attention
Annette, the General Manager, and
Jane, the Wedding Co-ordinator, will
help calm and prepare you for your
big day, while her team of professional
staff will look after your guests’ every
requirement.
