as a furniture manufacturer for more than 40 years, our
product is produced to exacting standards.
OUR PRODUCT
Always wood and only wood. Whittier has been making
Alder furniture since 1975. Prized for its fine grain and
smooth texture, Alder is a sustainable hardwood that
grows abundantly in the Pacific Northwest region of the
USA. None of our products contain engineered wood
composite materials and all of our hardware is premium
grade to ensure years of use and enjoyment.

OUR FACILITIES
FINISHING TOUCHES
Whittier owns and operates two facilities. Our
company headquarters, production and distribution
center are located in Eugene, Oregon. Here, we
operate in 200,000 square feet and have seven
loading docks. Our additional production facility
of 172,000 square feet is located in Vietnam. It has
state-of-the-art machinery, finishing equipment and
five loading docks. Every operation is conducted
in-house, giving us complete control over all phases
of manufacturing and quality.
Whittier furniture in its pure natural state without
stains, paints or other finishes is a blank canvas
for your imagination. You have the freedom to
customize the finish to suit your lifestyle and taste.

Flush Cut Molding Option
Custom Cut Molding Options
Custom crown cuts are available on all Assembled
bookcases. This is ideal for making a run of bookcases
with a finished crown molding look.
Units can be ordered as follows:
FCB = Flush cut both sides of crown.
FCL = Flush cut on the left side only,
as you are looking at the unit.
FCR = Flush cut on the right side only,
as you are looking at the unit.
For corner configurations order:
MCL = Miter cut left.
MCR = Miter cut right.

These transitional styled units are beautifully
crafted from Alder and Red Birch hardwoods.
Shelves are 11 inches deep. The 489W and
491W feature one fixed shelf to ensure
stability. All other shelves are adjustable to
easily fit favorite books and collectibles. Each
unit also comes with adjustable corner glides
and a wall bracket for added stability. The
701W Alder Lower Door Kit fits either the
72-inch or 84-inch bookcases.
