Who We Are
The Whittier family has been manufacturing
quality real wood furniture for more than three
generations. We emphasize quality construction and
attractive styling. Using our extensive experience
and knowledge as a furniture manufacturer for more
than 40 years, our product is produced to exacting
standards.
Our Product
Always wood and only wood. Whittier has been
making Alder furniture since 1975. Prized for its
fine grain and smooth texture, Alder is a sustainable
hardwood that grows abundantly in the Pacific
Northwest region of the USA. We also select other
woods grown and harvested across the world in an
extensive range of soils and climatic conditions,
making them a sustainable material of choice. None
of our products contain engineered wood composite
materials and all of our hardware is premium grade
to ensure years of use and enjoyment.

We focus on clean and classic designs that are
solidly built for your generation and the next.
Quality craftsmanship and precision engineering
combine to make a product that is not only beautiful
but has an inherent integrity that will be treasured

Our People
Whittier has experienced employees whose
product knowledge base runs deep. We take
pride in building long-term relationships with our
customers, representatives and suppliers. Customer
service and quality are our top priorities.
Our Facilities
Whittier owns and operates two facilities. Our
company headquarters, production and distribution
center are located in Eugene, Oregon. Here, we
operate in 200,000 square feet and have seven
loading docks. Our additional production facility
of 172,000 square feet is located in Vietnam. It has
state-of-the-art machinery, finishing equipment and
five loading docks. Every operation is conducted
in-house, giving us complete control over all phases
of manufacturing and quality.

Alder Collection
A great source of Whittier pride stems from the wood
we select to build our furniture. Our Alder collections are
handcrafted from certified sustainable American Alder
hardwood grown in and native to the Pacific Northwest.
We decided upon American Alder because of its inherent
strength, fine close grain and smooth texture. Another
bonus is, once it’s been finished, Alder closely resembles
more expensive hardwoods. Consequently, the wood is
often referred to as “the great imitator.” Clearly, Alder’s
exquisite beauty and our exacting workmanship are not
imitations. Those truths are especially evident when
Whittier furniture is in its pure natural state without stains,
paints or other finishes.
Our Pine collection combines the beauty and
character of Pine with Old World craftsmanship and
functional design.
Our furniture is truly heritage-quality. Each piece is built
with precision to ensure a tight and durable fit. We use
premium grade hardware which also supports the claim
that our furniture lasts a very long time. We don’t scrimp
on materials or cut corners in any step of our processes.

This bed is the ultimate in functional storage space,
beauty and quality. The headboard features large
cubbies; one is accessorized with a built-in power
strip and USB port. These cubbies are perfect spots for

reading lights. As an added bonus, the hinged door
opens to reveal a large concealed storage area below

Basic System

• DVD player, cable box, etc. are attached directly to the TV.

• A DVD player, cable box, etc. are attached directly to the Sound Bar, then to the TV.
• A subwoofer is typically a part of the system, but not stored in the furniture.

Synergize rooms and coordinate décors with our
McKenzie Occasional Tables. Working in concert with
the media pieces, these tables offer a great combination
of beauty and storage. The occasional table tops are
fully assembled. Legs attach with insert nuts and
shelves attach with dowel and pocket screws. Large
drawers hold from 40 to 144 DVDs and your component
controllers. English dovetail drawers with full extension
ball bearing slides are smooth and whisper-quiet.
