Remember when radiators were just there to keep your house warm?
As long as they were white and blended nicely into the background,
that was a job well done. Of course today there are styles, colours and
designs to suit almost any taste and home, and at Wickes we offer a
complete range. From Towel Radiators and Slimline designs to larger,
more unusual styles for the contemporary home, we’ve got the lot.
All Designer Radiators in our comprehensive collection have either a
traditional or contemporary style to enhance the look of any room. There
are a range of finishes available, along with different size options, allowing
you to achieve the ultimate look for your home.
With a range of different styles, sizes and colourways, we have a Towel
Radiator ideal for any bathroom. All our Towel Radiators are designed to
heat your room as well as your towels. You can also install one of our
Electric Elements and continue to warm towels throughout the summer
months without having to leave your central heating on. See page 26.
Calculating your
Heat Requirement
Once you have decided which style you would like for your home just
follow these three simple steps. The following example is provided as a
guide to help you calculate the heat output required for your room.
If you require a specific heat output for a given room, we would
recommend that you consult your local heating engineer to confirm the
exact heat output requirements for the room.
Step 1
Calculate the room volume in metres
Length (m) x Width (m) x Height (m) = Volume (m3)
Step 2
Calculate the estimated heat output for the room in Btu/hr
Room Volume (m3) x 153 = Estimated Heat Output (Btu/hr)
Step 3
Select the radiator which best suits the size and estimated heat output
for the room.

Use of Electric Elements:
• Elements should only be used when your central heating
is off
• Elements can be connected to either the flow or return side
of the radiator
Floor Brackets
• One flow or return valve should be closed to prevent water
circulation whilst the element is in use
• All elements are supplied with a ‘T’ piece for connection to
the radiator

For extra radiator weight support, floor brackets are also available. These should be used at the customers discretion where conventional
wall brackets can not be used i.e. glazed areas, conservatories etc.

Additional Information & How to Order
Useful Information
• All our radiators are designed for use with wet central heating systems. They’re easy to install, but we recommend you use
a Corgi-registered plumber if you need to install valves and/or pipework
• All radiators are supplied complete with brackets, air vents and comprehensive installation instructions
• All radiators are manufactured in line with the European EN442 Testing Standard. Outputs are calculated to
T50
• It is strongly recommended that the system is properly flushed prior to using as per the manufacturers instructions.
The addition of a corrosion inhibitor is also strongly recommended. Failure to observe this recommendation will invalidate
the guarantee

How to Order
Step 1
Pick up a Designer Radiators Price List and complete the order form on the back cover.
Step 2
Hand to a Customer Advisor in-store at the Pick Up Point desk.
Step 3
Agree a delivery date – this will usually take a minimum of 10 working days from date of order (excludes weekends and bank holidays).
Step 4
Your order will then be processed and payment will be taken.
Step 5
You will receive a letter and telephone call confirming your order details and delivery date for final confirmation.
Step 6
Receive your radiator on the agreed date.
Home Delivery
We offer a free Home Delivery service on all our Designer Radiators and selected Towel Radiators. Your new radiators
can be delivered to your door within a minimum of 10 working days (excludes Flat and Curved Towel Radiators on pages
23 and 24).
