May was busy and Nancy and I had a lot of fun, so hope you did too. We had a great turnout for the Lowe's Customer Appreciation Day. The management team really enjoy our cars. They always give us a first class treatment. We had an outstanding club cruise to Hohenwald to visit the Mountain Mopar Museum. 1 We had many members participate in the Big Sandy car show. It's a great show and we had many cars visit our cruise-in after they left Big Sandy. The Benton County Veterans Memorial group's Black Out Cruise was an appropriate start to the Memorial Day weekend. It is so heart warming to see the citizens pull over and stop to pay respect to our vets. We had another super Cruise In. 101 registered cars. I thought the Honor Guard from Ft. Campbell was a nice touch for the salute to the Fallen Heroes and Ally Webb gave her wonderful rendition of the National Anthem. What a super young lady! The Shack was busy serving BBQ. Thanks to Don and his daughter! Please take time to eat at the Shack and let them know you’re a Cruiser. Hope you didn't miss Terry and Christi Sayles' red, white and blue costumes. Never seen Terry look so good. lol. Our registration crew is doing a very good job of getting complete attendee information. Rick and Jan are analyzing this data. We can now send specific event information to attendees, find potential new members, and provide valuable tourism information to the Chamber and the TRRD. We made over $600.00 at the cruise in. Most of that comes from the 50/50. We need to thank Dan Weatherly and Rhonda Hensley! Every cruise-in they spend all of their time raising money for the club. When you see 'em, give them a pat on the back for a job well done. Don't forget to visit legendcruisers.com That's how you will received the newsletter. You can check the event calendar, make a copy of the member application, get a list of our sponsors and much more. See you at the meeting. Be safe cruising...... Bill 2 June 2016 Mid. And now you know the "rest of the story" 23 Featured Member’s Car Bob & Karen Yakel’s I was looking for a '64 Tempest or Chevelle when I found this Malibu SS in Arkansas. The paper trail found in the glove box showed the car was originally delivered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and stayed in Colorado until 2012 when it was sold to a person in Leander Texas. Then, moved to Arkansas in 2014. 24 The car has all original sheet metal with very minor rust; not original is the 3.55 "12" bolt rear axle, Muncie M-21 trans, the 283 motor, and the power front disc brakes mounted on 2" lowering spindles. Modifications made to the car will work with the suspension and steering upgrades that I will need to improve handling. Also in the plans is more cu.in. That should keep me out of the pool halls for a while! Bob 25 We had another super Cruise In. 101 registered cars. The Honor Guard from Ft.
