What's On in Woodbury (WOW!) :
A collaboration of Woodbury Library, Parks & Recreation, and
Senior Center, WOW is an exciting new way to bring programs
for ALL ages to the Woodbury Senior Community Center and
throughout town. All programs have free admission and no advance registration;
simply come, learn, relax, and enjoy what Woodbury and
WOW have to offer! Please click on the link above for
schedule. Keep checking back as programs are added
monthly. Please note the location of programs listed in this newsletter
as some are held in the library.

Senior/Community Center with The Kerry Boys, Connecticut's favorite Irish
balladeers. The Kerry Boys have been performing together for over

25 years. Pierce Campbell was Connecticut's official
State Troubadour for 2007/2008. Pierce will be joined by
Tony Pasqualoni for this year's show as they perform
favorite songs from their 4 CDs as well as some of
Pierce's original songs. These popular and dynamic
Connecticut Irish balladeers have dazzled fans of all ages
from Maine to New York. Their humorous, high­energy
show will have you clapping and singing along. The
Kerry Boys are just plain fun!
The concert is free and open to the public. It is part of
WOW! (What's On in Woodbury) a collaboration of
Woodbury Public Library, Parks & Recreation, and the

The issue of when to file for
Social Security may be the single
most important decision retirees
make in planning for their retirement. Unfortunately, there are
many common mistakes people make when signing up, some
of which may have a permanent negative impact on the lifetime
benefits one receives.
Available to everyone filing for Social Security, there are
numerous little known strategies which may boost one's
benefits and substantially enhance lifetime retirement income. Social Security benefits alone will likely be insufficient for an
individual or couple to retire comfortably.

Leslie S. Lebl, a fellow of the
American Center on Democracy
and principal of Lebl Associates,
is an independent scholar who
specializes in European security
and defense issues, the European
Union, Balkan peacekeeping,
Russian politics and economy, and Islamism in Europe. A
former Foreign Service Officer, she served as political advisor
to NATO commanders in Bosnia­Herzegovina and as minister
counselor for political affairs at the U.S. mission to the
European Union in Brussels. She speaks French, German,
Russian, Polish and Spanish. Since 2003, she has resided in
Woodbury with her husband Giora.
In this talk, she will discuss Islamism and the threat it poses to
the West.

Drop into the Teen Department and play around with a
variety of fun technology:
Play a Makey Makey piano using bananas for keys!
Make LED's light up with basic Arduino circuit making!
Learn to solder and make a blinky robot!
Make a paper house with windows that light! Technology Librarian Tom Borysiewicz and
Teen Librarian Marla Martin will be trying out
all kinds of fun technology after school 3:00 - 5:00,
March 9 - 12. Grade 6 & up, drop in make something!
