Moving into its 3rd year, the Asian Le Mans Series has been given a revamp, culminating into a winter series
consisting of four races from October 2015 to January 2016 for the 2015/2016 Season. It also sees the addition of
the newly created LM P3 category as an entry-level formula to Le Mans type endurance racing aimed at young,
developing and gentleman drivers. The invitation to the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours will see a small revision with this
additional category. The three invitations to the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours will be awarded (with no minimum
entries condition) to the teams that have participated in all rounds and are winners:
- Of the LM P2 class, invited in LM P2
- Of the LM P3 class, invited in LM P2 (or in LM GTE subject to the Le Mans 24 Hours selecting committee)
- Of the GT class, invited in LM GTE.
