INTRODUCTION Welcome to The Mooche 2015 We have put together a great team of talented teachers, magnificent musicians, venerable venues and practical perks to excite and enthrall you, our dynamic dancers! We have many more dancers flying into our city specifically for this event than for any other. It’s very exciting. Why all the interest? It’s true to say that some of our teaching team are known for their talents all around the world. The others have reputations that extend well beyond their geographical zone. But they all share one thing in common- the elusive “craic” factor. Don’t think the classes are going to be easy- you will probably find yourself challenged, physically and mentally- learning, re-learning, stretching and pushing yourself under the guidance of the teachers to become more stylish, natural, fluid and expressive in your dancing. You’ll go through the process of The Mooche and emerge as a finer, more distilled essence of the dancer you began as. We love working with real venues, places that support the vibrant social scene we enjoy in Cork city centre all year round. Our venues are looking forward to having you and all the other Moochers get down, strut your stuff, shoot the breeze, and most importantly, enjoy yourselves. Cork Dancers punch above their weight when it comes to welcoming visiting dancers. Over the years our little local scene has grown and developed in different ways. One thing that has remained constant is the love of meeting new people.. We know that the local dancers attending The Mooche are up for the craic, and in their company you’ll gain an insight into what “the craic” is all about. We have tweaked the recipe for a great weekend and all the best ingredients are in the mix- you want to enjoy an amazing weekend? Just put your best foot forward, be yourself, and soak it all up. Looking forward to spending the weekend with you! Daragh, Andrew and Chris IMPORTANT STUFF?
