When tapping the neccessary force required is always less than the tensile strength of the screw. The size of the mounting hole, precision, material properties and lubrication method affects the tapping torque. The rivet nut suits well for materials with thickness of 0.25 to 8.00 mm. Available in different materials: Steel, aluminium and stainless steel. Most common when joint surface isn’t required to be level. Round, Rifled: Flat head: Most common when an efficient and strong penetrating internal thread, without the need for sealing, is required.
