Safe, connected and clean: Key technologies for the energy and mobility
transition
The triad of fuel cells, hydrogen and batteries presented at the WORLD
OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS addresses the innovative technology fields of a
largely zero-emission future for mobility and energy.
With the WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS event Stuttgart positions itself as an
international trade fair and conference location for future-oriented topics of the
green-tech sector. One of the cross-sectional issues is the security of networked
solutions. In three days, WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS 2016 provides focused
and eventful deep insights into the world of intelligent mobility, energy and services.
Mobile and stationary applications of battery and hydrogen storage and drive
systems in different output ranges will be addressed. These range from small
batteries or fuel cell systems used as emission-free drives in cars or in stationary
application as heating for single-family homes, medium-sized systems for use in
large commercial vehicles and in logistics up to stationary storage systems in the
megawatt range for municipal utilities and industrial users.
"Cross-sectoral networks are essential for the development of smart and clean
technologies and services. Cooperation with research institutions and innovative
companies is a matter of course for many of our members. Even now, industry and
industry-related sectors account for two thirds of the value added in BadenWürttemberg. This is our innovation base which we also intend to expand
internationally with WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS," says Wolfgang Wolf,
Managing Director of the Association of the Industry in Baden-Württemberg (LVI)
and member of the committee of WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS.
Security of networked solutions
The security of networked energy and mobility solutions is one of the many new
aspects of the technology field. The main focus is on data security, but the security of
transport and energy supply will also be addressed during the conference and trade
fair. Decentralized and networked solutions are usually more resiliently designed
than centrally oriented supply structures, but the information structure entails new
security risks. However, experts see an enormous potential to improve road safety
e.g. in the car-2-car networking of vehicles. One of the universal issues of WORLD
OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS is the question whether smartphones and cars or heating
in apartment buildings and building technology in office buildings will "speak the
same language" in a networked way in the future.
WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS 2016
The WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS 2016 will take place on October 10-12,
2016 in Stuttgart.
The WORLD OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS event brings potentials and networks from
international technology leaders to Stuttgart. The convergence of energy production,
storage systems and mobility solutions are at the center of the event, featuring
technologies and services in the areas of battery, hydrogen and fuel cell applications.
