 Training Title: Sticks, Strings and Juggling Things Training Blurb: You don't need to be an expert juggler to lead your group of youth in the circus arts. Participants will learn the basic maneuvers of juggling sticks, diabolos and yo-­‐yo's along with tips on teaching these skills. With a little practice, an afterschool staff can gain enough skill to motivate kids to give it a try themselves. With encouragement and patience, Circus Arts gets kids up and moving, having fun, and learning perseverance – great indoors in winter and as a family engagement activity. Goals: 1. Explore and practice the basic maneuvers of several juggling apparatus and receive hints and tips on teaching techniques to children. 2. Learn how juggling increases fitness and coordination, creativity, perseverance and problem solving skills in school-­‐age children.
