At the MSBM Accounts Department via credit card, debit card or manager’s cheque. b. At any National Commercial Bank Branch by using a special MSBM voucher. Vouchers are available at the MSBM reception desk, in the MSBM Library / Documentation Centre and in the Accounts Department. c. By wire transfers (details available upon request). In order to ensure prompt and proper credit of payment to your account, please submit a copy of the payment voucher to the MSBM Accounts Department NB: •Cash or personal cheques will not be accepted. •Managers Cheques should be made payable to “MONA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT”. •Scanned or faxed copies of payment vouchers will be accepted. 18 For all your tuition fee payment needs, please contact: Jodiene Hutchinson Tel: 977-6035/977-2667 extn. 371 Fax: Fax: 977-4622 Email: [email protected] OR [email protected] FINANCIAL CLEARANCE • Financial clearance is a requirement for registration and sitting of examinations. • To obtain financial clearance and receive reading material, students must maintain up to date fee payments. 19 TUITION FEE PAYMENT DEADLINE i. (a) Semester 1 Fees must be paid by the last working day in September (b) Semester 2 Fees must be paid by the last working day in January (c) Summer Semester Fees must be paid by the last working day in May ii For balances after the first month of the semester, interest will be charged at 1%. balances carried forward to each subsequent semester will attract an additional rate of 1% on the balance per semester. iii After 3 months, following the end of the programme, outstanding balances may be sent to a receivables collection agency. DEFAULT POLICY 1. Failure to pay Tuition Fee by the scheduled date(s) will constitute a breach and students will be considered to be in default. 2. In the event of default, the students’ registration/academic record will remain and the following action will be taken: 20 (a) Debarment from future registration in all courses/programmes at MSBM. (b) Debarment from examinations. (c) Withholding of examination results for all courses. (d) Withholding of textbooks and other course materials. (e) Non-issuance of transcripts, certificates and other records of status. (f) Possible denial of access to the facilities. (g) Application of interest to the balance. WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PROGRAMME If there is an outstanding balance at the time of withdrawal, the balance becomes due and payable immediately. The MSBM default policy will apply if outstanding balances are not settled.
