When pressure and flow are determined, the amperage can be read from the pump/motor curve. The amperage is then transferred to curve 2. The amperage corresponds to an S2 and an S3 value. These values represent two ways of calculating duty capability. S2 is the number of minutes a unit can operate at a certain workload before reaching the maximum allowable temperature. After this, the unit must cool down until the motor temperature is less than 2°C from the ambient temperature before the same S2 value can be applied again. S3 is the maximum time in % per 10 minute period that a unit can work at a certain pressure/workload. Haldex has designed this Power Pack for maximum compatibility on trailer applications.
