Efficient and precise welding depends on
the right positioning.
Preston-Eastin positioners are designed for precise, safe operation.
Drive system mechanisms and electrical controls are configured to
protect the operator.
Precision spur gears, driven by worm gear reducers, provide minimum
backlash with maximum strength and longevity. A worm gear drive
prevents the load from moving unless the worm is driven. Preston-Eastin
positioners feature a four-post base for vertical adjustment on models
PA-15 and larger.
PA-1
Preston-Eastin recently added a power tilt option to the PA-5, one of the
most popular models.
In addition to the standard models, Preston-Eastin will custom design
positioners to meet the customer’s needs.

Designed for many years of low maintenance
operation.
Preston-Eastin headstock and tailstock positioners are designed for many
years of low maintenance operation. Headstocks provide powered variable
speed rotation in either direction controlled with a remote pendant. Units are
ideal for welding, flame-cutting or cladding operations.
Head and Tailstock Positioners
Tailstock positioners have the same specifications as the corresponding
headstock positioners, except they are not powered.
Due to variation in process requirements, Preston-Eastin head and tailstocks
are configured and constructed specifically for each customer’s application.

Preston-Eastin. Your single source for high
quality floor turntables.
Preston-Eastin floor turntables provide a high-precision, low-cost
method of rotating a workpiece around a vertical axis. They provide
powered rotation in either direction at adjustable speeds controlled from a
remote pendant Turntables are ideal for welding, flame cutting, flame-spray,
grinding, X-ray or drill press positioning.
Rotational power is provided by a DC variable-speed motor, AC variable
frequency drive or AC servo. Pendant controls are labeled FORWARD,
STOP, REVERSE, RAPID and SET. Table rotation is maintained until
stopped by the operator.
FT-25
Preston-Eastin floor turntables are rated for maximum workpiece weight and off-set from the axis of rotation.
Normal primary electrical input is 115/220/440 VAC, 60 hertz depending upon the size of the turntable.
Due to variation in process requirements, Preston-Eastin floor turntables are configured and constructed
specifically for each customer’s application.

Preston-Eastin’s turning rolls help turn precision into productivity.
Preston-Eastin turning rolls are designed and constructed to afford the customer many years of safe and
dependable operation.
To ensure precise alignment at all center-distance settings, these products have machined and jig-drilled
frames. Rubber-tired rollers absorb shock during loading and cushion the load during welding. A steel overload
disc (models TDRA-5 and larger) protects the rubber tires from excessive overloads. We also offer optional
steel, urethane or phenolic tires.
Final drive gearcase is totally enclosed and constructed entirely of steel. Aluminum-bronze worm gears provide
maximum strength and durability to the final drive.
Turning Rolls
A remote pendant with 30-foot cord provides the operator with all functions for welding, forward/reverse, start/
stop, weld/rapid, and potentiometer for precise speed adjustment. DC motor and controls up to
TDRA-30HD, AC variable frequency drive on larger.

Specialty Rolls
Preston-Eastin UFTR Series unit frame pipe turning rolls
are designed and constructed to provide the customer with
many years of safe and dependable operation with machined
and jig-drilled frames to assure precision alignment. Twelveinch diameter rubber-tired rollers with a 4.5 inch rubber face
absorb shock during loading and cushion the load during
welding. The final drive gearcase is fabricated steel and totally
enclosed. Aluminum-bronze worm gears provide maximum
strength and durability. A remote pendant with a 30-foot cord
provides the operator with all functions for welding, forward/
reverse, start/stop, weld/rapid, and potentiometer for precise
speed adjustment.
Increase output while decreasing fatigue.
Preston-Eastin manipulators are versatile tools applicable to a wide
range of operations, and are compatible with any make head or welding
process. They may be located over a workpiece to perform manual welds
or can be integrated into automated welding processes. Among the many
benefits are reduced operator fatigue, precision, waver-free welds, and
uninterrupted welds of extended duration at distances far greater than an
operator can reach.
Preston-Eastin welding head manipulators are designed for many years
of low maintenance operation. Smooth operation of vertical and horizontal
movement is assured with heavy-duty roundways and adjustable bearing
mounted hardened rollers.
Limit switches are installed to prevent
overtravel. The remote-control
pendant operates on 115 VAC for
operator safety.

Travel cars, either manual or powered, expand the operational
capabilities of manipulators for pipe spools, pressure vessel, pole
production or any type of production where the part length exceeds
the normal operational reach of the manipulator. Travel cars can be
supplied with v-groove or industrial rail wheels. Standard configurations
in manual or powered operation depend on the size of manipulator
to be mounted.
