1. Warranty Information
Cooler Master guarantees that this device is free of defect in material and
workmanship, and provides a two-year limited hardware warranty for the device
commencing from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt for proof of
purchase.
This product is designed for computer usage only. Using this device in any
other capacity voids the warranty. If you are not familiar with computer
hardware installation, please ask for professional assistance.
The warranty offered covers normal use. Defect or damage that result from
improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neglect, which are
not the fault of Cooler-Master, are exclude from warranty coverage.
Note: the warranty is voided by removal or alternation of product or parts identification labels.

3. Installation Guide
3.1 How to remove the Side Panel and PSU
Note: The Structure of CM Media 280 series has a modularized design. You can
decide the installation sequence based on your preference.
The Following instructions is for "Tower" configuration. Please check
Figure 3.7 for converting to Desktop configuration.
1 Remove the 3 screws and push the side panel back.
2 Remove the screws and drive cages.

sure the fan is facing the top vent

I/O Function Panel Installation Guide
Please refer to the illustration on the section of USB2.0, IEEE 1394a, and Audio
connector from the motherboard user manual. Please select the motherboard
which used the same USB2.0, IEEE1394, AC’97, HD Audio standard as below;
otherwise, it will cause damages to device(s).
The following illustration is a connection diagram for the front panel I/O cable.
NEVER connect an IEEE1394 cable to the USB2.0 connector. Doing so will damage
the device.
NEVER connect a USB2.0 cable to the IEEE1394 connector. Doing so will damage
the device.
On some motherboards, the connectors for IEEE1394, USB2.0 and Audio are not
the same as the drawing below. Please check with your motherboard manual
before installing.

On the front of the case, you can find some LEDs and switch leads (Power LED,
Message LED, H.D.D LED, Power SW, Reset SW)
Please consult user manual of your motherboard manufacturer, then connect
these leads to the panel header on the motherboard.
These leads are usually labeled; if not, please trace them back to the case front to
find out their source.

After the procedure below is completed, please connect peripherals such as
keyboard, mouse etc and power on the system to install iMON/iMedia software.
3.9 Media Hot Key Module
Rewind Button
This button will allow
you to jump to the back
track or chapter of the
current playing media.

This button will allow
you to jump to the next
track or chapter of the
current playing media.

This button will allow you
to stop the current playing

Note: Prior to running the iMON/iMedia software, please make sure all
hardwares are installed well.
Please follow those steps below to complete the software installation.

Press the DVD Menu button to access the main menu of the
DVD in your DVD drive and to begin watching it

Mute the sound. Press again to turn the sound back on and
press again to resume

The GREEN START BUTTON will launch the Media Center menu
system when you are in window XP. If you are navigating around
the Media Center menus, pressing the Green Button will bring
you back to the Media Center Starting menu options.

When navigating through the Media Center menu system, press
the BACK button to go to the previous screen in the Media
Center menu.

The MORE INFO button brings up additional options related to
where you are in the menu system. You can also press MORE
INFO to get details on the music, TV, picture, or video that is
selected.

Use the Cursor Arrows to navigate up, down, left, or right
through the Media Center menu system. When you find what
you want, press the OK button in the center of the arrows to
select it.

Press the RECORD button on the remote to begin recording
what you're currently watching. To find and watch it later,
simply press the RECORDED TV Button

For Album or Playlist, play selected song

PAUSE live or recorded TV

REWIND or FAST FORWARD through the recorded TV show
that you're watching. These buttons also work the same when
listening to music or watching home movies.

Press SKIP on the remote to jump forward in 30 second time
increments in the recorded TV show you're watching. If you want
to see that great sports play again when watching live TV or
recorded TV, press REPLAY on the remote and watch it again.

Numeric Keypad
The numeric keypad consists of numbers from 0 through 9 and
two other keys: ENTER and CLEAR. You can use the numeric
keypad to type alphanumeric characters anywhere in Media
Center that you can enter text. If you want to delete characters
you have typed, press CLEAR; press ENTER to submit the
characters you have typed. You can also use the numeric keypad
to enter TV channels.
To type the text by using the numeric keypad
1. Press a number to scroll through the choices that are available
for that key. Each time you press the key, a different character
appears. To backspace, press CLEAR.
2. When the character you want is displayed, press ENTER.

Teletext Buttons (optional)
Media Center supports Teletext when it is available. The
colored Fastext buttons on the remote control for Media Center
PC work much like the Teletext buttons on a standard Teletextenabled TV.
To display Page 100 (Teletext home page)
Press the TELETEXT button. Page 100 will appear in a few
seconds and completely replace the TV picture, but it will
not affect the TV sound.
To access Teletext pages
Enter the 3-digit number of the page you want to display by
using the numeric keypad. For example, enter 300 to access
the A-Z Teletext Index.
To navigate between Teletext pages
Press the UP and DOWN buttons on your remote control to
navigate between Next and Previous pages.
To use the Fastext buttons
The red, green, yellow, and blue buttons on your remote
control correspond to the same colored buttons on your TV.
Press a colored button on your remote control to go to a
preset page.
