August 2009 Hello fellow Knitters, Wool N’ Things will be hosting the Rowan 30th Anniversary Exhibition to showcase examples of vintage garments representing 3 decades of success and growth in the hand knit industry. Rowan has been celebrating its 30 years of involvement in fibre arts by touring Europe with some of the most spectacular knit garments, as well as, seven Kaffe Fassett quilts. We are very proud to announce that this most fascinating exhibition is coming exclusively to Wool N’ Things in September. We have planned a very special evening to showcase this exhibition on Saturday September 12th in the Orléans Star-L’Express Music Studio at the new Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Blvd in Orléans (613-580-2787): Come see the garments up close! Participate in a silent auction of Rowan yarns, books and kits to benefit the Children’s Wish Foundation. Be among the first to have the opportunity to purchase Rowan’s 30th Anniversary book – Rowan’s Greatest Knits-30 Years of Knitted Patterns from Rowan Yarns which includes 30 patterns of the exciting items on the Tour that have been reworked using today’s yarns. Other goodies will also be available for purchase. Visit & shop at the Quilty Pleasures table. Your admission ticket is also your door prizes draw ballot. So mark September 12th (6:30pm to 9:30pm) on your calendar and come be a part of this very special event.
