TM october 28-30, 2014 royal sonesta hotel houston » houston, texas www.pipelineweek.com Including GITA’s Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference & Exhibition and PODS User Conference Show Guide Owned & Produced By: Presented By: www.pods.org FLAGSHIP MEDIA SPONSORS: Diamond Sponsor: ® TM On behalf of myself, the Advisory Board, PODS, GITA, PennWell, and the many exhibitors and sponsors, I want to welcome you to the newly formed Pipeline Week. The partnership between GITA and PODS to form Pipeline Week is exciting to all of us associated with both organizations. With PennWell once again forming the backbone for logistics and marketing we feel that this event will become second to none for its comprehensive content related to geospatial asset management for the pipeline industry. The Advisory Board has been hard at work developing a program that showcases the breadth and depth of the work that our industry’s professionals are executing every day to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation’s oil and gas pipeline infrastructure. We have gathered the industry’s top professionals to share and exchange ideas in both our traditional operator forum and a number of dynamic panel discussions sure to encourage the free flow of ideas between the wide range of viewpoints our conference always successfully attracted. The exhibition hall, networking, breaks, and social event have always been a big part of our conference. Participation and interest continues to grow in terms of both the number of exhibitors and the variety of their booths. We will once again hold our casino night networking social event providing a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new acquaintances and contacts. I thank you in advance for your participation and continued support of Pipeline Week. I am certain you will find information, products and services that will help you bring continued success to each of your organizations. I look forward to connecting with all of you again in Houston. Best Regards, Jeff Allen 2014 Advisory Board Chairman President, Novara GeoSolutions Pipeline Week 2014 Show Guide www.pipelineweek.com october 28-30, 2014 royal sonesta hotel houston » houston, texas » www.pipelineweek.com Dear PODS Members and Associates, GITA Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference The Annual Users Conference is one of the most valuable benefits of PODS membership, joining in the unique community of sharing real-world data management challenges and solutions. This year, there are even more opportunities to learn from pipeline colleagues, with the co-location of the PODS and GITA conferences. This Pipeline Week partnership has created a highly valuable and content-rich event for PODS members and the pipeline community. This event promises to provide you with a very relevant spectrum of learning and networking opportunities focused into one convenient location. Also new this year, PODS will offer a full day of expanded training sessions taught by the PODS Technical Committee. This is the only occasion where these experts come together to present insights and experience, answer questions, and gather feedback from the PODS user-community. As in previous years, PODS members attend the PODS User Conference at no cost. The Annual User Conference is one of the ways the PODS Association provides value to our members. Exciting new developments are happening in the world of pipeline data management, and we, as a pipeline community, are able to identify and encourage solutions that address our specific needs, while also benefiting the pipeline community as a whole. Welcome, and have an enjoyable, productive and enriching week. Sincerely, www.pipelineweek.com PODS User Conference Kathy Mayo PODS Executive Director Show Guide Pipeline Week 2014 1 Table of contents SCHEDULE OF EVENTS. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 4 2014 SPONSORS & SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 5 2014 GITA OIL & GAS PIPELINE ADVISORY BOARD. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 6 2014 PODS BOARD OF DIRECTORS. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 7 GITA Conference GITA’S OIL & GAS PIPELINE CONFERENCE GRID – TUesday . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 8 GITA’S OIL & GAS PIPELINE CONFERENCE GRID – Wednesday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 10 GITA’S OIL & GAS PIPELINE CONFERENCE GRID – ThuRsday . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 12 OPENING SESSION & KEYNOTE PRESENTATION . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 14 GITA’S OIL & GAS PIPELINE CONFERENCE PROGRAM – TUesday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 16 GITA’S OIL & GAS PIPELINE CONFERENCE PROGRAM – WEDNEsday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 18 GITA’S OIL & GAS PIPELINE CONFERENCE PROGRAM – THURsday . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 24 PODS User Group PODS USER CONFERENCE GRID – Tuesday . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 9 PODS USER CONFERENCE GRID – Wednesday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 11 PODS USER CONFERENCE PROGRAM – TUesday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 17 PODS USER CONFERENCE PROGRAM – WEDNEsday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 22 GLOBAL PETROLEUM CALENDAR OF EVENTS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 13 Attendees Plan Your Event. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 26 FLOOR PLAN . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 28 EXHIBITOR LIST. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 29 Exhibitor Listings . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 30 EVENT CONTACTS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . pg. 41 2 Pipeline week 2014 » Show Guide www.pipelineweek.com Take Advantage Of Everything Pipeline Week Has To Offer Network with hundreds of attendees from & 21 countries 40 States Boasting over 50 exhibiting companies offering the most innovative products and services in the industry Choose from multiple conference tracks covering the following categories: » » » » » » » » » » Asset Management Mobility Analytical Planning Regulatory Compliance Operational Awareness Integration/Interoperability Project Planning and Records Management Construction Standards/Data Standards Existing and Emerging Standards Pipeline Integrity/Integrity Management NEW IN 2014! An expectation of vastly increased location accuracy, more complete physical attribution data, and the addition of pipeline operational data makes for a far more involved NPMS submittal. It is clear in this “brave new world” that robust, integrated GIS infrastructure is necessary to better respond to these changes. Join us at the Operators Forum and share your thoughts and experiences with other like-minded industry peers in discussing exactly how GIS infrastructure could help and what the impact of these - and other potential - regulations will be. TRACK 2: Invited Papers Chair: Mick Collins, Bureau Veritas North America GITA Japan Spotlight Presentation: Potential Benefits of Sharing GIS Data Between Companies, Public Parties Eiji Sumita, Asia Air Survey Co. Ltd. Geospatial data are computerized, and the map which a country, local public entity, or company ends up using applies GIS software. A lack of data sharing between companies, however, requires that each deal with even overlapping data independently. The mutual availability of geospatial information would make maintenance more efficient and less costly for all participants. The integrated updating of maps would also help both accuracy and efficiency of the GIS process. By gathering geographic data from various sources and examining their potential usability in performing project updates, this paper will look at how quality and other technical issues can be overcome to build a usable multi-company database. Common Ground Alliance Spotlight Presentation: 24/7 Pipeline Protection Chris Thome, Rhino Marking and Protection Systems According to the latest DIRT Report, more than one-third of all third-party damages root cause was the failure of the excavator to call for a locate. To make matters worse, even when a locate request is made there can be problems. The root cause of another quarter of the damages is miss marked pipelines, or no locate done at all. Pipeline operators spend countless hours and vast amounts of money on public awareness and educational efforts, but according to most recent four-year effectiveness surveys, the most effective tool for informing excavators of the presence and location of a pipeline is a permanent warning sign. This presentation will take a scenario-based look at designing an effective and enduring marking system. It will look at problems with “the way things we have always done things,” and how to leverage a marking system for damage prevention in urban, suburban, and rural settings. 2:45 – 3:30 PM 20 Coffee break — Legends Ballroom Pipeline Week 2014 Show Guide Sponsored by: www.pipelineweek.com 3:30 – 5:00 PM SESSION 4 — Founders Ballroom TRACK 1: REGULATORY COMPLIANCE/PIPELINE INTEGRITY IV Chair: Troy Bumgardner, Williams GITA Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference Innovative Solution for Integrity Verification Process (IVP); Advanced In-Line Inspection and Non-Destructive Evaluation Techniques for In-Situ Identification and Documentation of Pipe Material Chuck Harris, T.D.
