SPRING/SUMMER EVENTS GUIDE 2016 EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA AT PENNY FARM Celebrate the Easter weekend at Penny Farm with an egg hunt, competitions, homemade cakes and arts and crafts. Meet the horses and watch them relaxing in their natural habitat. WHERE: Preston WHEN: 25th - 28th March from 11:00 - 16:00 MINI ANIMAL FARM Stroll down to Dalton Square in Lancaster and see ponies, chickens, piglets, sheep and ducks up close! Face painting is also available. A lovely way to enjoy Easter Monday. WHERE: Lancaster WHEN: 28th March from 11:00 - 15:00 GREAT BRITISH FOOD FESTIVAL AND SPRING FAIR With over 60 food and drink stalls, this annual event is foodie heaven. With everything from live demonstations from top chefs, to 'man vs food' style eating competitions, to live music, there is something for all members of the family to enjoy. WHERE: Clitheroe WHEN: 8th - 10th April FAMILY STAR GAZING NIGHT Experience a magical night under the stars at the stunning Brockholes nature reserve. Discover more about the vast universe and learn about different constellations through powerful telescopes. Astronomy experts will be on hand to answer any burning questions about the solar system and beyond. WHERE: Preston WHEN: 17th April MORECAMBE CARNIVAL With headlining acts such as Scouting for Girls, Alesha Dixon and Jake Quickenden, this is a festival not to be missed! The weekend is jam packed with parades, trade and craft stalls, local food trucks as well as the grand unveiling of the carnival King and Queen. WHERE: WHEN: 30th April - 1st May Morecambe from 10:00 - 21:00 LANCASTER FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL Browse over 50 stalls, sampling sweet and savoury delights from all over the world at this 3 day popular food festival. Quench your thirst with some locally brewed cask ales or indulge in some decadent homemade pastries. WHERE: Lancaster WHEN: 30th April - 2nd May CHIPPING STEAM FAIR A weekend packed full of fun for the whole family. Get up close with your favourite classic cars, military vehicles and tractors. The event also boasts over 450 exhibitors and a recent additional of a food hall where you can stock up on local artisan produce. WHERE: Preston WHEN: 28th - 30th May from 10:00 - 17:00 TRACTOR PULLING EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS The UK's largest tractor event! Watch in amazement as competitors from over 18 countries compete over 2 days to be crowned champion.
