Today your Tour Manager helps you discover the
history of the languages you will experience on
your tour along with key words and phrases. A
guided tour of Soweto - South West Township showcases luxurious mansions and informal
settlements as you learn about the historic
significance of the area. Experience the regional
lifestyle when joining locals for lunch at a nearby
Shebeen or house tavern. This afternoon, visit
the Apartheid Museum for a look into the
dynamic history of racial segregation in South

Panoramic Route - Kruger National Park
Travel through the spectacular Drakensburg
Mountain Range en route to Kruger National
Park, the largest game reserve in South Africa.
Scenic wonders surround you as you pass
through the Blyde River Canyon, made mostly of
red sandstone and known as one of Africa's
greatest natural wonders. Set against the triplet
mountain formation of the Three Rondovals,
resembling traditional round houses of the
Kruger National Park - Safari Game Drive
Have your cameras ready for an unforgettable
day of adventure and excitement! Enjoy a full day
open air vehicle safari game drive. A local expert
leads you in search of the Big 5 - elephant,
buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino - and provides
insight into these fascinating animals along the

Kruger National Park - Johannesburg - Port
Elizabeth
Travel back to Johannesburg to board your flight
to Port Elizabeth, today one of South Africa's
major ports. Founded in 1820 as a place to
house British settlers, this coastal town is the
gateway to the Garden Route, a scenic stretch of
coastline set between mountain ranges and the
Indian Ocean. (B)
Day 8: Wednesday, March 13, 2013
Port Elizabeth - Knysna
Journey through the Tsitsikamma Forest, a
natural gem along the Garden Route. Known for
its gorges and steep cliffs, the indigenous forest
is home to hundreds of species of birdlife.
Continue along the southern coast where a
jagged shoreline meets quaint villages. Arrive in
the picturesque resort town of Knysna, in the
heart of the Garden Route. This afternoon, your
township tour will highlight the diversity of this
community followed by a touching experience as
you visit a school. Learn about the efforts of the
Collette Foundation and the local community to
conquer the challenges of educating the children
of the region. Enjoy a relaxing dinner at one of

Cape Town
Today you visit nearby Featherbed Nature
Reserve. Begin with a lagoon cruise out to the
famous Knysna Heads which mark the entrance
to the lagoon. Next, board a 4x4 vehicle and
travel deep into the forest. Discover the local
flora and fauna during a leisurely-paced nature
walk. Enjoy lunch amongst the ancient milkwood
trees - so called because of their white latex sap
- before your return cruise. The remainder of the
day is at leisure for you to independently explore
Knysna’s charming waterfront. (B, L)
A panoramic tour of the beautiful harbourside city
of Cape Town celebrates its noted architecture
which fuses the traditions of French, German and
Dutch influences. Enjoy a thrilling ride on a cable
car as it whisks you to an altitude of more than
3,000 feet, landing atop the aptly named and flattopped Table Mountain. The views below of
Cape Town, Robben Island and Lion’s Head will
leave you breathless. Return to the city via Table
Bay, passing through the Malay Quarter with its
mosques and minarets, and stopping at the
Milnerton Lighthouse. The remainder of the day
is at leisure for you to discover charming Victoria
and Alfred Waterfront, known for its shopping

Knysna - Oudtshoorn - Stellenbosch
Travel to Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of South
Africa. Enjoy a guided tour of one of the oldest
working ostrich farms in the area and, if you wish,
go for a ride on one of these great birds! An
outdoor barbecue lunch caps off an amazing day.
Next, journey to your hotel located in the heart of
the beautiful winelands region. (B, L)
Day 11: Saturday, March 16, 2013
Stellenbosch - Cape Town
Discover the enchanting beauty of the famous
Cape Winelands region with its colorful
mountainous landscape and endless vineyards
as you explore today. Visit a local wine farm and
learn about the history of winemaking in this
region and sample a variety of blends. Then,
enjoy a delicious lunch at the winery’s own
restaurant located among the vines. Travel to
Cape Town this afternoon. (B, L)
Day 13: Monday, March 18, 2013
Cape Town
Explore the coastal scenery and charming towns
that populate the Cape Peninsula. Travel out to
Cape Point, stopping for a visit with the penguins
at Boulder Beach. On your return, explore the
fascinating and famous Kirstenbosch Botanical
Gardens, home to over 5,000 species of plants
native to South Africa. This evening, experience
a unique farewell to Africa as you enjoy an afterhours guided tour of the fascinating African Gold
Museum, followed by a traditional African dining

Many activities in this itinerary include walking on uneven
terrain, or require significant walking at times. Some of the
unique experiences, such as visiting historical areas, means
accessing locations by foot because motorcoaches are
restricted. If you require a walker or wheelchair, or have
difficulty walking, you may not be able to access some of
these areas and may want to consider an alternate vacation.

Cancellation Charges for this tour: After your seat
reduction date of October 8, 2012 has passed, a nonrefundable deposit will be retained. For Cancellation
between 60-16 days prior to departure: cancellation fee
of 30% of total price. For cancellation between 15-1
days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 50% of total
price. For cancellation on the day of departure and
after: 100% of total price. For Ocean Cruises: For
cancellation between 90-61 days prior to departure:
cancellation fee of 35% of total price. For cancellation
between 60-31 days prior to departure: 60% of total
price. 30 or fewer days prior to departure: 100% of total
price. For River Cruises: including Europe, Russia,
Egypt and China, 90-61 days prior to departure:
cancellation fee of 50% of total price. For cancellation
between 60-31 days prior to departure: cancellation fee
of 85% of total price. For cancellation 30 or fewer days
prior to departure: cancellation fee of 100% of total
price. For Galapagos and Antarctica: A cancellation fee
of 60% will apply for cancellation between 120-90 days
prior to departure; A cancellation charge of 100% will
apply for cancellation less than 90 days prior to
departure.
Cancellation protection is highly
recommended and must be purchased at time of
deposit. Air rates are subject to change until tour is
paid in full. If waivers have not been purchased and a
reservation is cancelled for any reason prior to
departure - Air is 100% non-refundable once paid in
full. Cancellation charges also apply to reservations
made for "pre" and "post" night accommodations.
Purchase of Waiver and Insurance guarantees a full
refund of all payments (including deposit), except the
Waiver and insurance fee itself, made to Collette
Vacations for travel arrangements in case of
cancellation of your travel plans for any reason prior to

from an individual's traveling companion electing to

including delays or cancellation of services, cessation

used by any of the suppliers, and/or (3) any wrongful,
willful or negligent act of or omission on the part of any
other party not under the supervision and control of

loss, cost, or expenses due to sickness, lack of
appropriate medical facilities or practitioners, weather,
strikes, theft or other criminal acts, computer problems,
acts of God, dangers incident to sea, fire, acts of
government or other authorities, war, acts of terrorism,
civil unrest, riots, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines,
other disease, climatic aberrations or other such
causes beyond Collette’s control. All services and
accommodations are subject to the terms and
conditions specified by the suppliers and the laws of
the country in which they are provided. Collette
reserves the right to make changes in the published
itinerary whenever, in their sole judgment, conditions
warrant, or if they deem it necessary for the comfort,
convenience, or the safety of any tour. They reserve
the right to withdraw any tour announced. Both
Collette and the suppliers reserve the right to decline to
accept any person as a member of the tour, or to
require any participant to withdraw from the tour at any
time, when such action is determined by the tour
manager to be in the best interests of the health,
safety, and general welfare of the tour group or of the
individual participant. Neither does Collette accept
liability for any carrier's cancellation penalty incurred by
the purchase of a non-refundable airline or other ticket
to the tour departure city and return or otherwise.

including, without limitation, all cancellation fees.
No employee of Collette has the authority to vary these

Payment of the deposit to Collette Vacations
constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Airline Fuel Surcharges and Government Taxes:
Our air inclusive vacations are priced excluding airline
fuel surcharges and government taxes and fees.
These fuel surcharges are assessed by the airlines and
along with government taxes and fees will be quoted at
time of booking and are in addition to the airfare. Fuel
surcharges along with government taxes and fees are
subject to increase until paid in full. In order to better
serve you, once you complete the booking process
your invoice will display your vacation land package,
base airfare, fuel surcharge and all taxes and fees as
separate line items. Airfares are subject to change.
Seats are limited and may not be available on every
flight or departure date.
Checked Baggage Charges: Some airlines may
impose additional charges if you choose to check any
baggage. Please contact your airline or refer to its
website for detailed information regarding your airline's
checked baggage policies.

Day 13: Cape Town - Johannesburg - Zimbabwe
Fly this morning to one of the world's natural wonders, Victoria Falls, and transfer to the Victoria Falls Hotel,
known as the "grand old lady of the falls." This evening, enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Zambezi River, taking
in the majestic African sunset.
Day 14: Victoria Falls
Early this morning you will enjoy an elephant back safari and a chance to meet African elephants up close.
After breakfast, you have an opportunity to interact with the residents of a local village. Following lunch with a
local family, take a walking tour of Victoria Falls, truly one of the “Seven Wonders of the World.” Shop at a
local curio market before returning to your hotel. Today breakfast and lunch will be included.
Day 15: Victoria Falls
Enjoy the day at leisure or choose an optional full day excursion* to Chobe National Park in Botswana, home to
an abundance of wildlife and game. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.
Day 16: Victoria Falls - Johannesburg - Tour Ends
Later this afternoon, board your international flight home. Today breakfast will be included.
