HOW DO I GET A FREE FAM?
• Free FAMS for travel agents!!! Book 15 or more passengers or $100,000 in revenue for
travel within 12-months of the return date of your FAM.*
WHAT IS A FAMILIARIZATION TOUR?
• It’s been proven that you have greater success selling a tour when you have actually been
to the destination with the travel company that you are promoting to your clients. A
Collette Vacations FAM gives you the opportunity to experience both the destination
and the service provided by Collette.
WHY TRAVEL ON A FAM TRIP?
• If you have never travelled with Collette, our FAMs showcase how we operate as a
company, the quality of our product, and our commitment to service.
• FAMS provide travel agents with a taste of the destination – information that you
can bring back home to your clients and groups.
• FAMS allow you to network with other travel professionals.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
• FAM rates include land and inter-air where applicable, (except for Australia tours which
include air from Los Angeles). Arrival and departure transfers are also included in the
rate. Many meals are included. The number of meals will be in your final documents,
which are sent approximately two weeks prior to departure.
WHO QUALIFIES TO TRAVEL ON A FAM?
• FAMS are limited to travel agents with active IATA cards.
• NEW – An agent may now bring a companion.
HOW AND WHEN WILL I BE NOTIFIED IF I AM ACCEPTED ON A FAM?
• You will be notified by e-mail that your application was received and within 60 days of
receipt of the application, you will be notified if confirmed on the requested FAM.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE AN ITINERARY?
• Preliminary itineraries will be available September 30, 2012.
WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?
• $250 deposit plus waiver due upon confirmation and booking.
• Final payment due 120 days prior to departure.

Educational tours are created to explore the destination and are often conducted in seasons where availability is abundant. Promotional rate tickets may be utilized for the familiarization
to keep the costs affordable for the participant and therefore subject to airline conditions of contract. In the rare instance that the scheduled flight is overbooked, the airline reserves the
right to restrict the usage of the promotional ticket on the flight. The participant will be rebooked on the next available flight, on the same carrier without any other form of compensation.
In turn, Collette Vacations will work with the airline and assist with any other accommodations that may be necessary to continue the educational tour.
Cancellation Waiver & Insurance Plan
Waiver insurance is available for an additional fee and will cover you in the event of illness, accidents or travel and baggage delay. Payment of a per person waiver fee guarantees a full refund of all
payments (including deposit) except for the waiver fee itself, in case of cancellation of travel plans for any reason prior to the day of departure. If waiver insurance is not purchased, cancellation
penalties may apply, when cancellation occurs within 120 days. Waiver ranges from $165 - $305 based on tour.
