Message from the Director
Dear Friends,
Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, March 13th and it is
also “Check Your Batteries Day”. “Check Your Batteries Day” is a
reminder to check to ensure you have working batteries in your
household appliances such as smoke detectors, carbon monoxide
detectors and other electrical items.
Join us for “the wearing of the green” as we host our “Annual
St. Patrick’s Day Celebration” on Thursday, March 17th. The
celebration will begin with a special performance at 10:30 AM by
the “Irish Step Dancers” from the Goulding School of Irish Dance. We will serve a traditional corned beef
and cabbage lunch at noon and we will provide Irish Bread to complement the meal. The musical
entertainment will be provided by “Roger Celletti” courtesy of Berkshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center. Be sure to make your reservations early for this popular celebration.
We will celebrate the Feast of St. Joseph on Friday, March 18th at noon. Did you know in
addition to the Feast, March 19th is considered to be Father’s Day in Italy? Be sure to wear the color red,
which signifies St. Joseph’s Day, and join us for this special celebration. We will provide “Zeppoles” for
dessert, compliments of Morgan Health Center. You must make a luncheon reservation for this
celebration.
Our next Calendar Fundraiser will begin on March 1st. Tickets have been mailed to all
members and additional tickets are available at the Reception Desk. Please support this fundraiser!
Looking forward to seeing you at the Center!
Warmest Personal Regards,
Karen Testa Leone, Executive Director
