The purpose of this gathering of skunk lovers is to raise money for
Rehabilitation, Research, Adoption, & Education of skunks.
*For the safety of our skunks and yourselves, we ask that the following rules be observed:*
Everyone MUST sign a release waiver before entering the SkunkFest.
DO NOT touch/pet/put fingers in any of the skunk's cages. Skunks (and owners) bite!!!!
Do not allow skunks to roam, they must be leashed, caged, or held at all times.
“A skunk bite can be fatal to a skunk no matter what state you live in. Many people may feel that this will not affect them because
they live in a "legal" state. You and your skunk are not protected by the fact that your state will allow you to keep a skunk as a
pet. ANY skunk in ANY state that bites a human and is reported WILL be killed to be tested for rabies. [Some states will
spare the skunk and allow the bitten person to take the series of post exposure shots instead, but not all people are willing or
able to take the shots even if allowed].”
