Rules for Skunk Materials: pair of dice, skunk game board, pencils Players: 2 or more Directions: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Players decide who goes first Each player rolls the dice five times to produce a “multiplication” problem (3 and 5 would be “3 x 5”) The answer for each roll should be written in the 5 squares in each column(top to bottom). Once each player has rolled 5 times in the column and written down the products, the products are added and that sum is put in the “total” square at the bottom. Play continues until each column has been filled. Then each player adds her/his totals from each round to get a final score. The player with the larger total is the winner. *the word SKUNK doesn’t have to be used. It can be any word (typically a five letter word is best)* Skills: basic multiplication facts and column addition Variations: Players can decide that if a one is rolled its value is 12, 20, 50, 100 etc. Or you can use twelve sided dice or twenty sided dice. Create a game board for each player by writing Skunk on a blank sheet of paper. Then draw vertical lines between each letter to create six columns. Now draw horizontal lines to create six rows. The sixth row is for the total from each column. Below is a picture of a game board.
