SWEET CHEEKS
We could all benefit from the dewy, youthful glow of cream blush. How to perfect this
“flushed, not flustered” look? Avoid clown-face by following our guide below.
Dab cream blush
with middle and ring
fingers to grab the right
amount of product. Press
fingertips onto apples of cheeks and
cheekbones. For better definition,
place color high on cheekbones
instead of in the hollows. Blend
blush using fingers or a sponge.
Use primer or liquid
foundation (rather than
powder) as a base to
prevent cream blush from
blotching. Swipe gold shadow on
inner half of lids and a shimmery
brown on the creases. Line eyes
with dark brown pencil and apply a
few coats of mascara.

finishing touches
Tie this fresh-faced look
together with a satin-finish
lipstick or creamy gloss that
matches the color of your
blush. If you can’t find a
matching lipstick, apply lip
balm and use fingertips to pat
cream blush on lips.

How-to Fix Cream Blush Overkill

BLOT Use a cotton pad or tissue to soak up
excess pigment on overdone cheeks.
DAB Squeeze half a pea-sized amount of
foundation onto a makeup sponge. Lightly
dab cheeks to diffuse color.
POWDER Sweep translucent powder on top
of overpowering color. Buffing your cream
blush helps to tone down the hue.
TIP: Start small! A little cream blush goes a
long way and you can always build more
color as you go.
