The Chamber and Your Bottom Line
Nowadays, everything that saves you and your business money is
worth looking at closely. It’s worth reminding you to take advantage
of one or more money-saving options available to all Chamber members.
Is workers’ compensation insurance a key item in your annual budget? Did you know that if SCF of Arizona is your insurance provider,
you can be part of the Chamber’s association safety plan at no additional charge? In fact, you’ll save right away with a 10% deviation to
your annual premium. Certified drug-free workplaces are eligible for
an additional 5% deviation to their premium. Each year, depending on
your safety record, you will also be eligible to receive a bonus dividend
if authorized by SCF.
Health insurance is important to everyone these days and Chamber
members are eligible for a 5% discount on individual insurance plans
through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. Humana offers up
to 3% discount on group healthcare plans, 20% discount on group life
insurance premiums, with disability income and catastrophic overages
also available as a packaged discount. Several Wickenburg Chamber
insurance and benefit agencies offer the insurance plans. Call our
office today.

Wickenburg area residents can download a free card, search drug pricing, and locate
participating pharmacies at www.wickenburgchamber.com Carry this card with you
at all times and encourage others to use it as well. Pick up as many cards as you
need. The Wickenburg Rx Card is being offered to all residents compliments of the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce. The free prescription card can provide savings of up to 75
percent on prescription drugs and is accepted at over 50,000 pharmacies across the country.
The Wickenburg Rx Card was launched to help uninsured and underinsured residents afford

with no prescription benefits, which is common in many health savings accounts (HSA) and
high deductible health plans. Additionally, people who have prescription coverage can use
this program for non-formulary or non-covered drugs. The card can also be used for your pet
medication if purchased through the pharmacy. The Wickenburg Regional Rx Card has no
restrictions to membership, no income or age limitations, and residents are not required to
fill out an application or provide personal information to obtain a free card. It is pre-activated
and does not expire. It can be used by multiple members of a household.

State budget analysis
Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett, guest speaker
at the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce’s Quarterly
Luncheon Friday, March 19 at Monte Vista Ranch,
used Kleenex boxes and four easels to explain the
state budget. The labeled boxes (above), representing
$1 million and $500,000, demonstrated where and how
much the state spends. Then with the easels, Bennett
explained how the state found itself in a $3 billion deficit through the past four years.
