Dear Spring Sports Fans,
Although the winter was mild this year, spring still
has a special way of drawing us outdoors to pick
up a tennis racket, baseball bat, or golf club for the
thrill of competition or the reward of self-accomplishment. Nicolet students are eager for spring teams to be selected and
for the games, matches, and meets to begin. Our students are fortunate to
have so many spring athletic choices; truly there is something for everyone.
Sports opportunities offer much more than a simple challenge. Research
shows that student participation in quality extracurricular activities can
promote personal growth, social development, and better health and wellness in teens. Students whose parents help guide their education and support their participation in extracurricular activities feel more connected to
their school, achieve more in the classroom, and are more involved in their
communities later as adults.
We encourage parents, family members, and friends to support our Nicolet
students in their athletic endeavors by attending competitions, cheering for
their best efforts, and exhibiting good sportsmanship. Thank you, sports
fans, for all you do for our young Knights.

on a great year of sports. You have demonstrated
qualities of leadership and good sportsmanship both
on the “field of play” and in the classroom. The
pursuit of excellence in sports demands dedication,
organization, sacrifice, hard work, discipline and
most of all respect for yourself, your coaches, officials and your teammates. Nicolet High School applauds your efforts and knows that your
athletic experiences will last a lifetime.
I also want to express gratitude and appreciation for the coaches, administrators, boosters, staff and volunteers who work with our student-athletes to provide an outstanding athletic experience and all the opportunities
for personal growth that come with being part of a team.

to provide new scoreboards, sound systems, uniforms, apparel, facilities

Your membership fee, as well as other booster club fundraising efforts, allows us to contribute
directly to our teams when the budget falls short. We support both small and large projects.
Whether the result is new warm ups, equipment, training materials, awards, educational clinics,
new score boards, or irrigation… our teams and programs WIN! We also proudly support our
outstanding student/athlete’s by awarding up to $10,000 annually in college scholarships.

Your $45 annual membership includes FREE admission for your immediate family to all regular
season Nicolet home sporting events. All members have voting privileges and we invite you to
attend our monthly meetings, which are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month, at 7p.m
in room B113 in the Nicolet cafeteria.

It is easy! When registering for the fall academic year simply check the appropriate space on
your student’s fee form and include the dues in your payment. Membership cards will be available
for pick-up at Back to School Night, home football games, or in the athletic office.


extra help in all of these areas. Student participation is encouraged and hours worked qualify for
merit hours. Involvement helps support our programs and fosters a greater sense of school spirit

The Nicolet Athletic Hall of Fame honors former student athletes, coaches and other individuals who have
provided distinguished service to Nicolet High School athletics. The candidates who make up the class of 2011
were honored on Saturday, October 1, 2011.
A Hall of Fame Committee comprised of Nicolet Athletic Staff, past and present, chose the 10 individuals from
a pool of about 100 candidates. All future inductees are chosen following a formal nomination process
available to the community and on the Nicolet Website.
